This deck is part of a four deck fellowship, Middle-Earth University and functions as an offensive deck, questing and attack (/).
It is hard to build a Rohan deck without Éowyn, but in a four player fellowship, I feel this hero lineup plays more thematically like the riders of Rohan. Especially, Elfhelm, who offers, crazy good boosting to the boardstate of every player.
Éomer + Firefoot is the strongest attacker within the fellowship and with a Rohan Warhorse, he can partake in killing a couple enemies a turn. The tank deck can hopefully get a Dúnedain Cache attached to him in order to be able to attack across the board.
The other two heroes also want horses, Elfhelm getting an Armored Destrier and Théoden getting Snowmane. All these mounts can hopefully make it to hand faster with the help of Westfold Horse-Breaker.
In the form of card draw I have put Gandalf and Valiant Sacrifice, since Rohan allies tend to leave play.
Resources are this decks weak point since the Dundedain deck has gobbled up Steward of Gondor. I have put in Captain's Wisdom for acceleration and Errand-rider for smoothing. Because of this you may find the deck functions well with Heir of Mardil, which is in the sideboard, to make some action advantage occur with the resource acceleration/moving.
Quick points:
-Get mounts on Heroes. You can mulligan for the horsebreeder
-Play allies at reduced cost via Theodens ability.
-Theoden is versatile based on what attachments you can put on him.
-Give excess mounts to other players
-Stomp enemies with Éomer
-Add the sideboard events of more cancellation is needed.
-Escort from Edoras + Gamling's ability is a good combo for quest rushing.
-Since the deck has high starting threat, have a defensive solution early, whether it is chump blocking or having a hero ready to defend. Since there is a dedicated healing deck, hit points that heroes will take from defending should be able to be recovered.
If Players have any feedback in regards to this deck or the fellowship it is contained in, would love to hear back! I don't play a lot of Rohan, so experienced members of the Rohirrim can give some pointers.
