Premise
A Forth, The Three Hunters! deck out of the Revised Content Only pool. Playing it is very straight-forward - Fastred defends (being quite the defender from round 1 onwards due to his good base defense as well as the myriad of defensive attachments in the deck), Éomer quests and thus also attacks (utilizing cheap weapons such as Spear of the Mark), Éowyn covers early willpower (helped by cards such as Windfola or Celebrían's Stone).
From there on you should have most bases covered - questing by your heroes and later the contract, combat by Fastred/Éomer, threat by Fastred, treacheries by A Test of Will and shadow cards by Sterner than Steel.
How To Play
Things I like to see in my opening hand are usually fitting attachments for the challenge ahead. Depending on what you go up against, those might be tools to boost your combat capabilities or willpower-granting attachments (which is more often the case since early willpower is your main Achilles-heel). I also like to see Foe-hammer in combination with weapons to get a bit of draw going. Pillars of the Kings is also a really good drawing tool if you are stuck with a small hand.
Considerations
The sideboard contains mainly options to enable a better multiplayer experience.Rohan Warhorse, Hasty Stroke and Double Back are mostly overkill in their respective departments for solo quest, however in multiplayer, that might change quite drastically. Steward of Gondor likewise is a card I would only ever consider including in higher playing counts (since you don't need it at all but other people at the table might). Dúnedain Remedy can be used in whatever player count if your contract's healing power proves to be insufficient.
Enjoy!!!
