I"ve made small tweaks to my previous versions of this deck and I REALLY enjoy how this deck performs now, there are tons of hidden tricks here ;). It's probably in my TOP 3 favourite decks I've ever created.
You have so much control over what you can do with the top of your deck (Ring of Thrór can be bonkers when timed right). It's rather advanced (you have to make the most out of your action windows, especially when it comes to discarding cards from the top of the deck), but I think it's great!
The most important thing you have to do is to play Wizard Pipe on Gandalf - you'll figure out the rest ;).
If you defend with Dáin Ironfoot, use his ability to cycle cards, even if you don't need extra . You see each and every card that comes on top of your deck thanks to Gandalf - often you'll be able to hit Hidden Cache or Ered Luin Miner, or even discard duplicates of unique cards. You may even want to cycle cards untill you see Elrond's Counsel appear on top and simply play it with Gandalf (his ability is once per phase).
And remember, playing Erebor Toymaker from the top of your deck with Gandalf still triggers his ability.
Comparison with the previous RCO version:
Added:
2x Elven-light
Removed:
2x The Riddermark's Finest (Rhovanion Outrider and Northern Tracker should give you plenty of location control)
2x Ancestral Armor (it's a bit too expensive without access to non-RCO Well-Equipped. It could still be cheated into play with Ring of Thrór and Erebor Toymaker, but unless there are REALLY heavy hitting enemies in a scenario, you'll be fine with just Dain equipped with Armor of Erebor. I've kept it on sideboard though).
