Discard Pile

Troglo 107

Introduction

Here is a pretty technical Noldor discard pile deck. The plot is to complete the mechanics with Aragorn's and titles, in order to boost Noldor discard-pile-focused allies stats.

Strategy

The deck is more like a swiss army knife / flexible one than super-specialized. Attach Chieftain of the North to Aragorn during the setup. Then you will attach Estel to him as soon as possible. That one along with Aragorn's action, and with Arwen Undómiel, Steed of Imladris, To the Sea, to the Sea! and Elven Jeweler, will help you to discard whatever you need in order to increase Noldor stats and / or benefit from the discarding effect. Since a lot of discard is required, the Noldor hero Gildor Inglorion is really handy. Plus, he gives access to Steward of Gondor and great attachments to Aragorn, he is a good quester and a target for Arwen Undómiel's effect and for Tale of Tinúviel.

Attach all attachments to Aragorn, except Steward of Gondor, To the Sea, to the Sea!, Miruvor and Steed of Imladris to Arwen Undómiel.

No Silver Harp here since we want to keep a specific card on the top of the discard pile. The deck is not too far from the parity between the number of allies, attachments and events to have a maximum of flexibility and efficiency of the discard pile mechanics. Since there are many cards, Dwarven Tomb + Map of Earnil is an auto-include combo.

Allies in discard pile can be chump-blockers or Wandering Spirit, who may be used for its own action or for the end-game when we want to trigger and cycle the Dwarven Tomb + Map of Earnil loop. Miruvor is a nice discarding target for Warden of the Havens bonus too.

Late game, each round you will choose between the Map loop or Lords of the Eldar effect.

Many nice and strong combos, such as Aragorn's action + Elessar + Elendilmir + Tale of Tinúviel to ready and give 8-def to Warden of the Havens.

Adjustments

Substituting Will of the West for Lords of the Eldar, is another way to play that deck.

Have fun !
