RedSpiderr has a newer deck inspired by this one: Saga Deck 4.1: A Knife In The Dark

I used this deck for the third quest of my Saga Campaign. I am going to try and keep it as thematic as possible, stemming from the 'What If?' of 'What if Gandalf didn't escape from Orthanc in The Fellowship of the Ring?' Please note, I don't own all the cards, so am not able to make the most powerful thematic deck theoretically possible, but constrained by what I have, here is my best attempt.

After a long and exhausting journey through The Old Forest, Frodo and his companions have escaped the enchantments of that ancient wood with their lives. Despite losing their friend Luthiel, the group continue on to Rivendell hoping against hope that they might deliver Frodo and the One Ring safely there. Before they can rejoin the road east however, they must make their way through the accursed Barrow Downs and face the perils of the restless dead.

The Deck: This deck is primarily designed to handle the questing side of the deck. Cards like Lindon Navigator and Quickbeam are excellent questers, while The Evening Star helps blast through these all-important locations building up in the staging area. Out of the Wild should be used to neuter the worst treacheries ahead of time. Naith Guide and Rosie Cotton are the enablers for the deck, and indeed its partner's, targeting the heroes who need their boosts the most at that time.

As before, this deck supplements its partner in handling this quest. Bill the Pony is ever useful as he provides a universal hit-point boost, Friend of Friends was also fantastic and again it ended up on Frodo Baggins and Sam Gamgee. DĂșnedain Warning and Hobbit Cloak again should keep defenders like Tom Cotton and Sam Gamgee alive and kicking. Fast Hitch lets hobbits attack after questing and None Return can make sure that once defeated, the wights will not rise again. We have added an Ithilien Lookout, with the hopes that he can help dodge a wight or two, and Ranger Spikes should enable us to contain those that do escape him.

The economy of this deck should be relatively easy to set up. With very few cards costing more than 2, once the Song of Kings and Song of Wisdom are on the heroes then cards should be played every turn. Elf-stone can help with the more expensive allies, and Ranger Provisions also speeds up the process, or can be used to help its partner deck if needed. Bilbo Baggins's native ability will help both decks with their card draw, negating Gandalf's Delay completely after two turns, and Frodo's Intuition is worth its metaphorical weight in gold in this deck.

Thematically, this deck represents the survivors of The Old Forest making their way to the Barrow Downs with the hopes of heading on to Bree afterwards. The inclusion of Ithilien Lookout can be explained as him being seconded to the Dunedain as part of his training. Or just read his as a Dunedain Lookout if you prefer,
