This is a solo deck that I've used to run through all the Core and Mirkwood cycle scenarios. Even the most difficult scenarios for solo play (Escape from Dol Guldur, Conflict at the Carrock, and Return to Mirkwood) I was able to win with relative ease and perhaps a little luck.

Thurindir's starting side-quest is Gather Information, with which you can then draw Scout Ahead. Once all three side-quests are in play, he will quest with 5 .

Once all 3 side-quests are completed, Thalion will also become a hero, giving you an extra resource each turn, but even before then he is useful, as he'll be able to quest and fight each turn.

Scout Ahead is particularly great as it allows you to anticipate what the encounter deck will bring, but also works very well with Rossiel's ability. Most of the events are also meant to aid Rossiel, in addition to potentially removing difficult encounter cards. With the right cards in the victory display, she'll have 4 and 4 , and can be healed, if necessary, with Silvan Tracker.

All of this takes some time to set up, but because the starting threat is just 21, you have some time to do so, and Keen as Lances can bring your threat down by another 12, for no cost if played at the right time.

The Great Hunt is there to deal with enemies you might not be able to take out, and Advance Warning gives you more time to get that card in hand or to get enough allies out to be able to defeat them.

Card draw is very good with this deck. Mithrandir's Advice gives you three cards, and can be reused with Scroll of Isildur. The Long Defeat lets you draw 2 cards (or heal damage, which is particularly useful in the Journey to Rhosgobel scenario), and Keen as Lances can also be used to draw cards, if threat is not an issue.

The sideboard only contains Lore of Imladris, which I swapped with Advance Warning in the Journey to Rhosgobel scenario. The deck remained unchanged for every other scenario.

i like it!

you seem a bit light on attack however, and rossiel could use some extra defense against big enemies. How did you do against the troll on journey along the anduin?

Mirkwood Runner or Legacy Blade can be an elegant solution to the attack problem. With Explore Secret Ways you don't really need Eryn Galen Settler's ability anyway.

Rossiel could use Cloak of Lórien, Protector of Lórien and A Burning Brand to be more safe with what you can defend.

Self Preservation or Lembas also seem better than Silvan Tracker for healing rossiel.

Woodland Sentry is also great in rossiel decks, while Out of the Wild is quite expensive while not in secrecy.

Thanks. It is a fun deck to play!

And thank you for the suggestions. I don't have some of the cards that would be a good fit (such as Legacy Blade and Woodland Sentry, which are indeed a perfect fit).

Combat was never a big problem, apart from the Attercops in the Return to Mirkwood scenario. The Hill Troll (or similar enemies, like the Nazgul) I took out with The Great Hunt. Eryn Galen Settler is mostly in this deck for the 2 , not for the special ability, and that is also why I prefer Silvan Tracker over other healing cards: they can quest or attack when needed, and heal as a passive ability. East Road Ranger also has 2 ; they are great for running through the side-quests quickly, but once that is done are good for combat. Finally, Mirlonde and Thalion both have 2 . In other words, if I needed to take out a bigger enemy, like the trolls at the Carrock, I attacked them with several of these at once.

I thought about including a card like Cloak of Lórien, but honestly I never needed it. Because I rarely went above 30 threat and then only late in the game, I could choose most of the time which enemies to engage, and with the high amount of (from Thurindir, 3x Mirkwood Explorer, Gildor Inglorion, Thalion, and Rossiel or East Road Ranger when appropriate I could more or less ignore strong enemies in the staging area during questing.

Finally, I did not find Out of the Wild too expensive. It is a useful card not just to set up Rossiel, but also to take out strong enemies or even, in some scenarios, nasty treacheries, so that I could later also remove other copies of those with The Door is Closed!.

Also, I found Silvan Tracker better for healing Rossiel because if she had damage, it was generally just 1, occasionally 2 (she can only take 3), and with the Trackers she could suffer that repeatedly, whereas Lembas would work only once, and I found Self Preservation too costly (same cost as a Tracker, which I can use for other things as well, as mentioned).
