Everyone these days seems to be building the Elrond-Vilya-big ally deck. When this deck started out, that's what it was. However, I think that it's getting rather old. So I have instead elected to present you with an Elrond-Vilya support deck that doesn't use big allies. This deck instead gives the board access to the big events.
Running the deck is very simple. Play it with a deck that has a good bit of combat ability as well as a ton of allies. Dwarves are good for this, as is Leadership Gondor. Then, get Vilya in your opening hand and start churning out those high-cost events.
Use Light the Beacons to give the other deck tons of defense. Ready every buffed-up ally the other deck has with Grim Resolve. Use Gildor's Counsel, Out of the Wild, and Risk Some Light to mess with the encounter deck. Lower anyone's threat with The Galadhrim's Greeting and draw anyone cards with Lórien's Wealth. Keen as Lances is stellar when played for free. Finally, use Hour of Wrath to turn one hero into a superhero when needed.
Attachments in the deck are fairly straightforward. Wizard Pipe puts the right event on top of the deck for the situation. Light of Valinor and Asfaloth turn Glorfindel into a unstoppable force. Gandalf's Staff and Resourceful provide resources, and Shadowfax and Unexpected Courage give Elrond and Gandalf readying.
There are 9 allies in the deck, most of which fill support roles. Ethir Swordsman and Arwen Undómiel give questing support. Bilbo Baggins can grab the pipe you're missing. Master of the Forge helps find attachments in general, and Treebeard gives attack power in a deck that lacks it.
Enjoy the deck!
