Theoden king stands alone 1.0

We return to the Single Hero decks with the King of the Mark himself. Theoden has got respectable stats and has an effect which can certainly help the player to get those allies out quickly.

Théoden will have to rely on his trusty steed Snowmane for getting multiple action each round. This requires him to quest succesfully, so I included some solid allies and effects to help you in the quest. If you can't get to Snowmane in time, a Unexpected Courage or Westfold Horse-Breaker will give Théoden some more action advantage whcich can be useful when attacking or defending. To get Snowmane, Westfold Horse-breeder is included for a free search for the horse since the horse-breeder is free if you play it as the first ally that round. To get to your horse-breeder quicker, Mustering the Rohirrim is included. You can pay for this effect since you get to play the ally for 1 resource less. If you have Leaf Brooch attached, even the event will be free provided that you stay below the Secrecy threshold.

The discard engine is fueled by Emery who is free to play, if you discard Hidden Cache you will gain the additional resources. You can also discard the cache with help from the Zigil Miner and his trusty friend Imladris Stargazer. If you happen to draw the card, you are able to play it for free with Leaf Brooch which will end up drawing you a free card.

To help with drawing cards in this deck, some Ancient Mathoms are included to keep digging for the vital cards. If you happen to draw Herugrim, attach it to Théoden for some additional that usually lacks. Resourceful is another card that you should try and get asap as it will provide you with a good influx of resources each round. If you happen to have a huge pool of resources due to 3 copies of this card, Lay of Nimrodel will let you quest for an insane amount (remember that you can play the event for free if it is the first event you play that round).

Sword-thain will have to go on Glorfindel, Arwen Undómiel or Elfhelm since the other unique allies have discard effects which don't really work well once they are upgraded to a Hero.

Combat is difficult for but you get a solid defender in Théoden with the additional benefit of Arwen Undómiels defence boost. You can discard some enemies (but not all) with Helm! Helm! if you can discard an Rohan ally that turn.
