I've always wanted to make an Elladan and Elrohir deck, but never felt a lot of inspiration for the third hero, because the starting threat would inevitably be too high. So, of course, I ended up with the most obvious answer in Glorfindel.

All three are Noldor, and all three are Noble. So, the rest of the deck came together building around those two traits. Elrohir ends up being the MVP. Just add Arwen Undómiel, Steward of Gondor, Ancestral Armor, and Steed of the North, and you've got a hero with 6 defense, 6 hitpoints, who is defending multiple times, and who can pitch in to help with questing.

That's obviously a lot of cards and resources to build up, so most of the rest of the deck is devoted to resource acceleration and card draw. Elrohir should have the full "kit" by around turn 4 or 5, at which point it's difficult for the encounter deck to touch you, combat wise. Another direction to possibly go is to add Blood of Númenor, although that is dependant on getting Steward out first. I haven't tried that variation, but I could see it being a viable replacement for Ancestral Armor.

I do love Ancestral Armor, because the second copy can be played on Arwen Undómiel! This makes her a competent second defender (which can help preserve the resources on Elrohir).

Discovering Raiment of War could be put on Glorfindel was a fun surprise. It's definitely not essential to the deck, but always fun to make him even a bigger monster.

Elladan works well, although I've found his multi-attack ability to not be as impactful as Elrohir multi-defending ability.

Glorfindel eats through resources, paying for Elven-light. He's hungry like a Hobbit that missed Second Breakfast and Elevenses. Playing Proud Hunters on him helps with feeding the machine, though it's never enough. On turns where I can get away without him pitching in to quest, he may also get a Captain's Wisdom; although any of the three heroes can be useful targets for it.

Another big surprise was Wandering Exile, which is just the kind of nameless, faceless ally that I would never think to include in a deck in the normal course. But when they hit the board, questing for 2, creating another path for dumping Elven-light to the discard pile, and then attacking for 2, they really pull their weight.

The biggest obstacle has been threating out. I've got no threat reduction (other than Glorfindel himself).

For the threat problem you could include Elrond's Counsel: it is free, so no resource problems, although it costs you one card in the deck. If you can consistently draw many cards, and elven light and Lindir sure do that, they can come in handy.

I don't know how well the deck runs but you could sostitute 1 Good Harvest, 1 Arwen, 1 To The Sea or a mix match of those or maybe other allies that are less important.

Cool deck, i like it!

Thanks for the comments. Elrond's Counsel is definitely a good substitute. I might try to drop in x2 copies. Having played with the deck some more, Will of the West is probably a good candidate to drop; in practice I’ve only decked myself once, end most games without 10 or so cards left in the deck, and there isn’t much in the deck that I have to recur. I might drop out one of the 3 Light of Valinor or A Good Harvest. Arwen Undómiel and To the Sea, to the Sea! have proven to be essential to success.
