Thalion The Steadfast 47
The setup
is straightforward. The card you want in hand obviously is Steward of Gondor, by using the resources from Aragorn and Prince Imrahil, Hirluin the Fair can start with 3 resources. These can be used to put up to two allies in play.
When starting the game
it is important to get as many outlands allies in play as soon as possible. By using Send for Aid, Rod of the Steward and Lord of Morthond you are able to spice up the card draw. Prepare for Battle is very effective when playing solo. Combining these effects the player is able to draw up to 4-5 card each turn.
Concerning Aragorn
, Ancestral Armor to beef him up considering he has sentinel. If you don't want to spend a resource to ready him you can play a copy of Steed of the North. Combination The Day's Rising/Heir of Mardil can let him attack after defending. One copy of Sword that was Broken because, why not?
Concerning Hirluin the Fair
, as mentioned before as quickly as possible Steward of Gondor, also he is an excellent target for Lord of Morthond. A copy of Steed of the North seeing he has ranged and the outlands trait. CelebrÃan's Stone to push his willpower up even more and since Aragorn has no more restricted slots.
Concerning Prince Imrahil
, Prince of Dol Amroth as soon as you have the required ally cards in play this gives you 2 recources per turn, for this reason Prince Imrahil is the best target for Rod of the Steward.
Depending on how you draw/play the cards defending can be done by Aragorn and/or Prince Imrahil.
Sneak Attack/Gandalf purely for the threat reduction.
Gather Information so you can search that one card you just can't find.
I have tested this deck a few times now and when you get into that perfect storm of massive card draw (4-5 each turn) and massive resource generation (6-7 each turn) the result can be awesome.

Feb 26, 2021Yes I have, It is in the Sideboard. I just wasn't prepared to sacrifice other cards. Depending on the quest this could be a contender to go into the deck. |

Have you considered some copies of Strength of Arms?
