Malatas 2

Hi,

this is my first Deck here, played this deck through fellowship sagas without any issues. This is standard mono gondor swarm deck, but with lot of flexibility and some tips how to play it :)

This deck include a lot of Sideboard, which can be almost freely changed with any almost card or added on top of it, there is no issue with 55 cards, cause deck has a lot of draw .

Now some cards choice and how to play the deck.

Heroes choice is prety obvious, Boromir and Denethor are almost always in gondor deck, Boromir provide attacking and buffing, he hes his Visionary Leadership for even more buffing and Steward of Gondor to keep his passives going. Next is Denethor, which is just solid defender, with solid action in this deck, and he makes turn 1 a lot easier :). Last hero is Ingold, which is just awesome, he makes gondor deck whole and no other leadership hero can replace him. We are aggressively using his responce, atlest once per turn, sometimes more often.

For the actual cards in the deck, starting with allies, Angbor the Fearless is very strong in deck, since we can reach high threat fast. Citadel Custodian have multiple usage, either as good target for A Very Good Tale, or later as free card draw with Ingold and as chump blocker. Veteran of Osgiliath and Knight of the White Tower are our late game machines, which can either attack or defend or quest very well. Then we have the colorful package, Morwen Steelsheen, Rammas Lookout and Rammas Sentry. Morwen Steelsheen can eat Squire of the Citadel, so you get free healer + resource. Rammas boys are always not active, but still worth it. Rammas Sentry works as pseudo Honour Guard. Herald of AnĂ³rien can pull Envoy of Pelargir, Squire of the Citadel, which equals to more resources or with Soldier of Gondor for more cards.

Now for some of the more interesting stuffs

We stack our resource on Boromir, for his effect and for Knight, with Feast of Plenty we can use there resource for free ready on all heroes + resource smooth for Rammas duo. Strength of Arms is just good here, since allies are main source of everything. If you want to, you can play Pillars of the Kings turn one, sometimes worth it, sometimes not, up to you :), but its mostly for threat reduction, since we increase quite a lot. But but you could play sneak sneak Gandalf for threat, blah blah, every deck does that for years, no fun. Now Open the Gates is very cool and i dont see many people playing it in gondor decks.

So let my show you how much value it holds

Firstly, you almost always find a gondor guy to pull out, as emergency attack/defend/quest. Its mostly phase you didnt play any other ally = draw from Ingold. So u pull Custodian ? free tale u pull pelargir u get free resource + another if she lives. u pull soldier, u get to do his response, if 40 + you draw your whole deck, if he survives, you do it again. u pull squirel, more resource. So one things this deck doesnt lack is card draw :).

In terms of sideboard, you want more defense ? add some attachment, you want more attack ? add some attachment, you want more card draw ? add even more lol :D, you want more resource ? add Captain's Wisdom, you want reading ? add some attachment :D, you want more combos ? add Tome of Atanatar, you want healing ? add Warden of Healing, which you play with Herald of AnĂ³rien. You want to be like everybody else ? add SneakyGandalf

Thats it for me :D if someone read it all the way down here, gratz to you and enjoy

Nice deck, read most of it, a very classic but well designed Gondor swarm
