Early game - Wizard Pipe/Bilbo Baggins, Light of Valinor, Shadowfax, Asfaloth, To the Sea, to the Sea!, Henamarth Riversong if solo.
Some quick strategy...
- Erestor helps you quickly find cheap buffs for Glorfindel and Gandalf
- use Wizard Pipe and Silver Harp to help you pay off-sphere and hold onto a useful card until next turn
- use your discards to maximize value from your Noldor for cards you would otherwise be discarding at the end of refresh
- resource gen is slow so consider whether a card is more useful to you discarded or played that turn at its cost. With Will of the West, two copies of most cards, and Erestor you have a lot of flexibility for when and how to improve your board state
Value from discard - Getting To the Sea, to the Sea! on Erestor allows you gain value from your cards you'd otherwise be discarding. Trollshaw Scout, Imladris Caregiver, Lindon Navigator, Elven Spear all take advantage of the fact that you will need to discard cards left in your hand at the end of the turn. Sailor of Lune and Warden of the Havens both benefit from being smart about the order in which you discard. Protector of Lórien is not bad either to help you get value of otherwise unused cards each turn, especially if attached to Gandalf with Shadowfax.
Fair and Perilous and Lords of the Eldar work well mid/late game to survive an onslaught, especially if you can get Elf-friend on Gandalf cheaply and at a time that makes sense given board state.
