Premise
My preferred Silvan deck for solo play. This deck almost plays like a combo deck - you use your doomed cards and drawing tools aggressively to draw most of your deck by the round 2, playing out your Silvan allies along the way. You then start using Host of Galadhrim every round from round 2 onwards, recycling the Host from the previous round on top of your deck with Galadhrim Weaver (alongside other useful cards played last round like A Test of Will or Feigned Voices, which is possible since you control 3 Weavers).
Your board-state (often starting round 2 already!) for the rest of the game looks as follows - you play Host on all your allies every round, leading to 39 willpower every round that does not require exhausting your allies (thanks to Galadriel), having a cancel every round and having a Feint (through Feigned Voices) every round - which you recycle through the Weavers and draw back up through your Galadhrim Minstrels. You also have more than enough attack to kill anything you like, with all your allies ready in the combat phase and the ridiculous boost provided by Celeborn.
Your other allies also leave and enter play every round - giving you near unlimited Healing with Galadhrim Healer, threat reduction with Galadriel's Handmaiden, scrying though Henamarth Riversong, recursion through Orophin as well as location control through Woodland Courier
Overall, this deck is pretty insane and completely trivializes >90% of quests in the game with ease, being an absolute juggernaut by round 2. The only reason I did not award the full rating in terms of power here is that there are some quest mechanics that directly counter you - like global damage, limitations on draw/resources/characters/threat reduction/cards played or any form of heroes capturing. In most cases however, just lean back and enjoy watching the Silvans dismantling even the most difficult scenarios in the game with ease, having stats galore, a cancel every round and a Feint every round.
How To Play
I like to see as much draw as possible early on to get the whole combo going. Peace, and Thought is critical in that regard (as are all your other draw events as well). Steward of Gondor, O Lórien! and especially Legacy of Númenor are similarly useful to ensure that your resources can keep up. A general rule of thumb here is: The fewer allies in your opening hand, the better (with the exception of the Galadhrim Minstrel who is always great to filter through your deck).
Considerations
Quicker Than Sight is a great include if you are facing immune enemies that cannot be defended through Feigned Voices. The White Council is a great tech card for quests that discard cards at random or from your deck, since it is always critical to have at least two Hosts in your hand/deck/in the top X cards of your discard pile (where X is the number of Weavers in play). Risk Some Light is also a good tech card if your are worried about avoiding specific cards that would counter your deck. With Henamarth, you always have perfect knowledge if you might need it which helps a lot of course.
Enjoy!!!

May 02, 2024Sure, it might just be a bit slower than with Peace but otherwise just as workable (I suspect a reliable Host cycling by round 3-4 will still be workable). I would suggest replacing it with more cheap draw/milling. Haldir is just there for his flexible 3/3/3/3 statline. It is not only very convient, it is also great having an ally with multiple hitpoints to absorb some archery and direct damage, sometimes almost no Silvan allies are able to do |
May 09, 2024Super interesting, thank you for sharing. Was reviewing your toolbox and detail which is much appreciated. Do you see there being a Silvan/Elf only 3.5/4 star Solo deck with a Celeborn/Galadriel/Thranduil (or similar) possible or only in Multiplayer and/or bring in the lads from under the mountain? |
Is there any way to build this deck without Peace, and Thought? I have all the card except for that. In addition, why do you Haldir of Lórien in a solo deck?
