Gonfindel 1754

(EXPLANATION in english below)

  • Long Lake Fisherman.

Llevamos a Ioreth, 3 Wellinghall Preserver y 2 Self Preservation.

CONTROL DE AMENAZA : con Gandalf, Woodmen's Clearing y The Galadhrim's Greeting podemos reducirla en 30.

ESTADÍSTICAS: Voluntad 39 ..... Ataque 40 ..... Defensa 28

-------- ENGLISH ------->>>

Revised Content Only (RCO).

We will play with three heroes closely linked to nature. The main idea is to take advantage of Haldan's abilities, but it is not a deck solely designed to quest.

If the deck was too focused on location exploration, it could suffer in many adventures, but this is an "all terrain" deck because we have the great Treebeard.

HEROES :

  • Haldan will be able to show off his ability to draw extra cards and to quest without exhausting himself since we have 15 attachments for places.

  • Treebeard will be the other main protagonist thanks to his fantastic statistics and his skill. We will carry several cards to heal him, so he will can abuse his ability and make him even more powerful to quest and into combat. We can increase his statistics to 7 or 8 each turn. And he can resist an impact of 12.

  • Lanwyn is an ideal companion for Haldan. She has a great skill, goes well to quest, has a very good attack, the threat is not very high and she contributes the sphere Spirit sphere . And if that were not enough, the illustration is amazing. :-)

ALLIES :

  • Forest Road Traveler can be very powerful if we know how to manage the attachments to the active location well.

  • Mirkwood Hunter: we can play him by reducing his cost if we control the attachments to the active location.

  • Long Lake Fisherman. We will almost always play it naming 1 or 2 to ensure we draw a card.

ATTACHMENTS :

We have 15 attachments for locations, play them thinking about how to get the most out of them. Sometimes it will be better for us to have Haldan ready, other times to draw cards, other times to boost Forest Road Traveler and other times to play Mirkwood Hunter reducing his resource cost.

  • Elf-stone works great here because this deck goes very well to quest.

  • Unexpected Courage always in Treebeard so he can to quest and help in combat. We will even put 2 or 3.

EXTRA CARD DRAW . Don't forget to use Haldan's ability when you can!!! In addition, we have 3 Ancient Mathom and 2 Long Lake Fisherman.

We can draw 26 extra cards reducing the deck by half.

HEALING : we will try to heal Treebeard so he can use his ability every turn. We have Ioreth, 3 Wellinghall Preserver and 2 Self Preservation.

THREAT CONTROL : with Gandalf, Woodmen's Clearing and The Galadhrim's Greeting we can reduce it by 30.

STATISTICS: Willpower 39 ..... Attack 40 ..... Defense 28

Willpower and Attack are doing very well. Defense is the lowest stat, but don't worry because we have Treebeard and a lot of healing.

In addition, we can reinforce him with Protector of Lórien and Ent Draught.

ADVICE! The deck starts with 32 . For scenarios like "Journey Along the Anduin" in which a great enemy attacks us on the first turn, I suggest the following strategy:

  1. Mulligan to have an ally that can be played on the first turn, it is easy to get it.

  2. We will have the ally and the heroes ready for combat. If necessary, let them not go to quest. The Threat will increase, but we will lower it later.

  3. We will sacrifice the ally to defend and with the three heroes we will kill the enemy. If it's a troll, we'll have to use Treebeard's ability.

It's a bumpy start, but we have resources to recover threat and get healing later.

SIDEBOARD: There are cards that I have tried and they work well, although the 50 cards of the deck have worked better for me.

There are also cards to modify the deck if the scenario we are going to requires it.

May the force of Nature be with you. :-)

I love Haldan and Lorwyn, I think they're super underrated. Treebeard is a natural fit to help out with combat. Great deck!

Hello @Jreilly89! I'm glad you like the deck. The truth is that it´s fun and has worked very well. :-)

Haldan and Lanwyn are a classic as a couple of Heroes, they both do well in combat and going quest, although their weak point is Defense.

I've been looking for a Hero to help with that issue that hasn't been used in any deck on RingsDB.

I was surprised so see that no one used Treebeard. He complements each other perfectly and is also a very thematic deck.

Greetings! :-)
