When i saw the original deck I knew i had to make my own version. I wasnt able to playtest it yet so i have to Iron out some stuff later.
It is mostly a theme deck around Gondor, the only exeption is Andúril because I just didnt know what other colourless cards i should include. And since The Renewer and Chieftain of the North give Faramir and/or Denethor 4 Traits its sounds fun.
Main strength of the deck is defence by far, with potenial for more. You have Beregond and Denethor, who are baseline decent defenders. With some Gondorian Shield, Livery of the Tower and Captain of Gondor They get untouchable. Later you can get other Ally defenders on, equipped with the Raiment of War.
You also have some strong hitting back. Mablung is your main attacker with Gondorian Fire and the help of some allies.
The high threat is a big problem, paired with few card draw. Questing is okay and gets good as soon as Visionary Leadership gets in play.
For the opening hand i would recomend to look for Visionary Leadership or any kind of threat reduction. A Soldier of Gondor and The Red Arrow are welcome too, since you are most likely valour in the secound round.
The idea for the attachments was:
Beregond: Gondorian Shield, Livery of the Tower and Unexpected Courage
Denethor: Gondorian Shield, Livery of the Tower, Visionary Leadership and Steward of Gondor
Faramir: The Renewer, Andúril and Gondorian Fire
Mablung: The Red Arrow, Chieftain of the North, Gondorian Fire and Steed of the Mark
The Secound Gondorian Fire and Unexpected Courage can go wherever. (Most likely Denetor). The Raiment of War would be good on eigher Defender of Rammas or thee Knight of the White Tower.
