Hirgon and the Staging Area 1.0

The purpose of this deck is take advantage of Hirgon's ability allowing you to play ally cards after the staging step. The idea is to quest with all heroes, allow Thalin to deal his damage, then play the best ally for the situation with Hirgon. Note that you can use Hirgon's additional ability of increasing threat to make these allies stronger for the round.

• Play Descendant of Thorondor, Beorning Beekeeper, or Galadhon Archer to pick off an enemy after staging.
• Play Knight of Minas Tirith to finish off an enemy. (Note that Mablung's ability triggers once per phase.)
• Play Marksman of Lórien to aid in a ranged attack later on.
• Play Defender of Rammas or Gondorian Spearman to play defense.
• Play an Ent ally if nothing else is needed.

This deck is not questing for much out of the gate, so it will definitely need to be paired with a solid questing deck, since Hirgon's ability only works on successful questing.

Note that this is only a mediocre Foe-hammer deck, as Mablung will be your only hero able to consistently attack. I'm looking for other ways to configure that part of the deck to provide card drawing.

Tricks:

• Behind Strong Walls is functionally a Hasty Stroke when used on your Gondorian defenders, even against shadow cards that grant additional attacks.
• Knight of MInas Tirith allows you to double up on Mablung's ability.
• Spear of the Citadel can be attached to any Tactics characters, including Gondorian Spearman.
• The Ally configuration can be customized to many scenarios.

Sideboarding can be shaped to your liking. I've listed some cards that could also be good in the right situation.
