Preferred Player Count: 1-4
Rating:
Premise
A thematic take on the Gondor archetype. It features the whole ruling family at the start of the novels as heroes in Denethor, Boromir and Faramir (who is your target for Messenger of the King). From there on, you swarm out allies with your strong resource acceleration and A Very Good Tale, which can be recycled very well through Tome of Atanatar.
How To Play
Any hand that enables a quick swarm is decent. Having Steward of Gondor helps, as well as A Very Good Tale with some suitable allies. The major weakness of this deck is draw, so Pillars of the Kings can really bail you out from time to time (as can Gather Information or Soldier of Gondor once you hit 40 threat).
Considerations
Sneak Attack and Gandalf are always good and could really work here (especially with Tome of Atanatar), however they work a little against A Very Good Tale so I decided to go the Tale-route, also due to the questionable theme. Man the Walls, Campfire Tales and Send for Aid are all very decent in high players counts where they are worth the include for sure.
