Premise
Eagles are for my money one of the most fun multiplayer-focused combat decks. Especially the release of Radagast and Radagast's Staff (providing much-needed resource acceleration and cards tutoring through Word of Command) turned them also into a very potent archetype, with some fun and efficient combos. This deck uses Radagast alongside Hirgon (who opens up a great opportunity to get your birdy benefits post-staging as well as Halfast Gamgee as Messenger of the King, who opens up leadership, which Eagles desperately want for further resource acceleration (in Legacy of Númenor and Steward of Gondor) and more entering play tricks (in Horns! Horns! Horns! and Sneak Attack).
How To Play
I usually try to see either Steward of Gondor or Radagast's Staff (preferably both) in my opening hand. Getting them going quickly is often the key to achieving victory, with resources being the number one thing holding this deck back. From there on, you draw your Eagles with The Eagles Are Coming!, play them with all your resources and build up your Eagles of the Misty Mountains along the way.
Considerations
Faramir can be a good substitute for Power of Command in saga quests, where it is often my preferred Messenger of the King to account for questing, I really like to run it then alongside The Red Arrow (which has more room to work wonders if you don't include The One Ring). A Burning Brand is fantastic for any quests which feature nasty shadow cards, Magic Ring is another card that got pushed out by the threat ask of The One Ring. Man the Walls is always amazing in high player counts, especially if running combat-focused allies.
