A solo Rossiel deck.

Disclaimer 1: This is not a "rule them all" deck. Many quests just do not suit Rossiel well. She thrives on quests where there is a common trait among many of the locations and many of the enemies.

Disclaimer 2: This deck is very tightly constructed, and I was forced to put some very useful cards in the sideboard. Feel free to add in Anfalas Herdsman for quests with lots of Archery or treachery damage. Put in Brand for quests with nasty Shadows, and put in Scout ahead for quests that benefit from side quests, like Assault on Osgiliath or The Fate of Numenor. Finally, put in Evening Star for quests that require a lot of location control. I personnaly haven't needed this yet though because the deck puts out some massive willpower thanks to Outlands. The first cards I'd remove to make room are probably None Return (because Out of the Wild normally targets enemies) and Resourceful.

Instructions:

I normally try to get The Galadhrim's Greeting and/or Elven-light in my opening hand. The Greetings will allow you to start turn 2 at 20 threat, while the Elven Light will help in a different way by giving you a consistent source of draw. An example start might look something like: Discard a card to give Arwen a resource, then quest and put Theodred's resource on Arwen, then play Greeting, and now you are in secrecy and can play Risk Some Light to set up your first three rounds of the game. Very powerful.

Unexpected Courage and Protector of Lórien go on Rossiel, and she becomes a tank defender even if the enemy doesn't trigger her ability. Protector of Lorien allows you to essentially turn as many of Arwen's resources into card draw as well. I've never played a quest where I didn't draw the entire deck. That's why Will of the West is in the sideboard, but typically by the time your deck is drawn you are unstoppable anyway.

Outlands of course deserve a nod here. With so much deck space dedicated to the victory display mechanic, you need to have a combat and willpower engine contained within as few cards as possible. The Knights of the Swan get into play with the help of A Good Harvest. Just make sure you swap in some Anfalas Herdsman before taking this up against quests with ally-damaging treacheries, although so far I've been successful in using A Test of Will, The Door is Closed!, Risk Some Light, and Out of the Wild to avoid those encounter cards.

I'll often be able to maintain Secrecy for quite a few turns thanks to The Galadhrim's Greeting, Elrond's Counsel, Dwarven Tomb, and Keen as Lances. But at the same time the deck generates many resources thanks to Resourceful, Arwen Undómiel, and Théodred, so losing Secrecy isn't a big deal either.

This could probably work well in multiplayer, but it's untested. Let me know if you give it a shot!

Puah, outlanders!

Outlanders are quite good in a deck like this one, or in decks that use a lot of attachements or events.

Or you can always play Ents instead.
