rmitch87 has a newer deck inspired by this one: Tinúviel's Secret Tale

Aragorn and Arwen wreak havoc in Middle Earth.

This deck is built around the enhanced synergy that Tale of Tinúviel brings to Aragorn and Arwen.

The main strategy here is two-fold:

Arwen: Light of Valinor, secrecy Resourceful, and Silver Harp will get the resources flowing. Arwen's spot-resourcing ability lets you choose each round if you need or . LoV allows her to be ready for Tale of Tinúviel or the occasional defense/attack support.

Aragorn: Unexpected Courage and Dagger of Westernesse combined with secrecy-level threat and Aragorn's defense weakening have him questing or defending and then swinging for up to 6 effective damage. Tale of Tinúviel with Arwen has him reaching up to 9 for particularly tough bosses.

Allies: Celduin Traveler, even out of secrecy, is a good deal and staple here, especially solo. Defender of Rammas eases the pressure off of Aragorn while Galadhon Archer supports. Elven Jeweler comes discounted with Silver Harp (or free with two!) and Galadriel's Handmaiden helps with secrecy.

Note that Elven Jeweler, Fornost Bowman, and Lindir can pinch-hit for Tale of Tinúviel to ready a hero.

It's not too hard to have most of the engine up within 1 or 2 turns and it builds on itself pretty quickly.

Opening hand: Look for some combination of Courage, LoV, Resourceful, and Elrond's Counsel.

Critiques, recommendations, and suggestions happily accepted!

I like it! I've been playing a similar deck recently, using Core Aragorn instead of Scorpigorn to get access to all of the Secrecy cards that Leadership has to offer. Seems like your deck gets better use out of Tale of Tinúviel than mine though.

From the looks of things, it seems like this deck probably dips down into Secrecy the first couple of turns and then comes back out of it again. Is that accurate? Do you find that you tend to have enough time to get your Secrecy cards down before your threat is too high?

I've found that my deck can really stall out when I don't find Elven-light--do you find yourself having the same problem?

You could consider adding Dwarven Tomb. It's great for fetching Elrond's Counsel, and also for letting you pitch all of your Spirit events to Arwen with impunity, safe in the knowledge that you can fetch them back again if you need them.

Ally Boromir might be a good fit for this deck, given its low threat. Maybe even Farmer Maggot, actually.

Thanks! Leadership definitely has its benefits too in this deck. Erestor is perfect.

You're correct about secrecy; it currently can't maintain it that long (which is why it doesn't hinge on secrecy cards). I'd like to fit The Galadhrim's Greeting in to boost that, but in this deck it feels a little expensive. I may put it back in and test it some more.

Dwarven Tomb was another sideboard card (I need to fix the sideboard here) that I'd like to use. I'd probably have to drop an ally to do it though, and that's a hard choice. As much as it works with Noldor, Elven Jeweler is probably the first choice to go as it wipes your hand too quickly for what little card draw there is.

It does just OK without and early Elven-light, but obviously it's a bit of a hinge.

Boromir is a perfect recommendation and will replace Skinbark without question. Farmer Maggot is interesting, especially for cleaning up anything that gets left over. Wouldn't mind throwing Westfold Outrider back in to combo with Maggot.

Note that I've only tested it solo thus far. I need to pair it with a good aggro deck to see it really shine.

@rmitch87 Since your deck doesn't live or die by Secrecy, I guess it makes sense that Elven-light would be less of an urgent priority for you.

Dwarven Tomb was the card that really made my deck come together, it went from being pretty inconsistent to being pretty consistent. You should definitely give it a try if you haven't yet.

I find The Galadhrim's Greeting to be pretty expensive for my deck too--I only really use it in emergencies when none of my other threat reduction cards have showed up, but otherwise it gets pitched for a resource. Since Secrecy is more of a nice-to-have here, my guess is that you probably wouldn't end up using it that often.

Looking forward to seeing where this deck goes!

@AuthrawHaving played a few more games, I'm seeing how important Elven-light is on moderate/harder quests. So much so, in fact, that I might replace Silver Harp with Dwarven Tomb. The harp is expensive enough to not be worth it when Arwen's primary use is to cycle Elven-light. In this case the harp actually obstructs the strategy.
