A deck for this BGG post: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/2232313/any-tips-new-player-particating-mines-moria-event
Uses 2x Core and all 6 Saga expansions only, to be played at GenCon 2019, likely in a multiplayer game. Therefore, it doesn't need to do everything, and abilities like Beregond or Éowyn can feel great.
Because of Eowyn's ability, it's also OK to include more corner-case cards, since they can be converted to extra willpower. For example, Beorn can only be played via a Sneak Attack combo, but it can be useful to get rid of a big enemy. If you don't need him, it's fine to discard to Éowyn's ability.
There are some combos, like Sneak Attack and Gandalf, or Snowmane and Herugrim on Éowyn.
It's also important to keep threat low, to maximize the benefit from cards like Sam Gamgee, Staff of Lebethron, Hobbit Cloak, and Taste it Again!. Use The Galadhrim's Greeting and Gandalf's ability.
There are also a variety of cards to help other players, which can be super fun in a multiplayer game with strangers. Playing an Unexpected Courage on someone else's hero will really make them smile! Of course, Beregond is a good target for it, too, given his Sentinel ability. You can also use The Galadhrim's Greeting to help everyone, if needed.
The most important card to mulligan for is Steward of Gondor, and play it on Eowyn, since Beregond might go down fighting at some point. It will set you back on Leadership resources for the first two rounds, but after that, all other Leadership cards cost 1 (or 0 in the case of Bill the Pony). I haven't tested the deck, so perhaps you need to shift even more toward Spirit cards...
Since other players may have a larger card pool, and it's a generally very useful card to be able to put an ally into play at any time, Stand and Fight gets 3 copies. You can also use it to help correct your Leadership resources. You can discard Rosie Cotton to Eowyn's ability, then effectively play Rosie with Spirit resources.
Have fun!
