Werepossum 274

Werepossum has a newer deck inspired by this one: Robinhood's Merry Band of Thieves

Robinhood and his Merry Men are at it again. A Haldir of Lórien deck that can quest as well as it kills. Having all your weapons coming from The Burglar's Turn balances out the number of attachments you get, preventing weapon's flood and Unseen Strike can pick up the slack until the powerful weapons are looted.

Haldan ensures you are drawing 2 cards a turn, as each location is guaranteed to have a guarded attachment. Strider's Path lets you fast travel to a location if you every miss a chance and can sometimes allow for multiple attachments on a single location. Most of the allies are solid 2 for 2, making sure you can always clear the location each turn. Galadhrim Minstrel will always hit, as we don't have any of our attachments in our actual deck and Envoy of Pelargir smooths out your resources, until Proud Hunters gives you all the you could want.

As for the Burglar Board, most of the attachments are weapons, minus some of the best +2 attachments for Haldan. (Dark Knowledge is Stone of Elostirion)

I like the approach of focusing on weapons in the loot deck. That should help cut down on the variability.

Nice use of The Burglar's Turn, I find it difficult achieve consistency in such a deck.

Just one question: Why Legolas? I'm thinking maybe Éowyn for willpower.

Ya, the contract really helps with the consistency in this type of deck, where most of the weapons are pretty interchangeable. A problem you can occasionally run into is if the first few attachments aren't weapons. There are only 4 and once you have one weapon it really doesn't matter, but it could happen.

I liked Legolas as a secondary ranged attacker for when you want to use Hands Upon the Bow and Haldir of Lórien's ability in the same turn. His progress ability being able to crack locations early when combined with Hands Upon the Bow or Quick Strike has also come in handy. That being said, you could absolutely use Éowyn if you need more help questing. I haven't actually felt like it was needs, as most of the allies are really efficient questers.

This is a really cool deck. It's a great use of The Burglar's Turn, which is definitely my personal favorite contract. Bonus points for the name =)

Fun deck! Just wanted to let you know that you can’t use Dark Knowledge in your burglar deck as it’s a condition not an item or artifact

Thanks, it was actually a stand in for Stone of Elostirion, which wasn't on the site at the time I published this. I need to update the list to reflect the site update. Also still working on the Burglar board. Some of the items might be too cute and I've had a few games where you don't hit a Haldir of Lórien early enough.
