This deck is built using plenty of the new ALeP cards and combines two archetypes not yet played much together: Dúnedain & Wood(wo)men. It is certainly viable for solo play and will definitively shine in a two player game. In a big fat nutshell, here is how to start:

  • Aragorn gets Estel, which allows him to fish for more cards from the top of the player deck right off the bat. It works even better when combined with Elven-light getting it back together with an extra card.

  • Widfast allows to play Gavin right away, who generates ressources and draws more locations, less enemies or treacheries. She allows for a second active location while Northern Tracker avoids a lock.

  • Rowan, beside being a pretty decent defender, helps to play attachments on locations for free that synergize with the Hunting Dogs and secure extra cards and ressources.

During the game, Aragorn will evolve into an awesome questing character as he gets more and more attachements such as Celebrían's Stone, while thanks to Andúril and Elessar, he can help facing enemies too. Careful combination of Lie of the Land, Gavin, and Widfast with the Warden of Arnor attachement garanties to quickly get rid of any locations, oftentimes even allowing to avoid a potential painful travel or active location bummer. When equipped with Gift of Foresight, Rowan is an extremely solid defender who can survive most enemy attacks undamaged and Andrath Guardsman, Guardian of Arnor, or Ranger of Cardolan can lend a hand if enemies are swarming.

Very cool idea, and a fun lineup! What about Dúnedain Warning for Rowan? Also, Dúnedain Remedy would add some needed healing (or Roving Herbmaster, but that requires more threat reduction).

Both would be very helpful, unfortunately, I do not have Dúnedain Warning (and probably never will) and Dúnedain Remedy I'll get this summer only.

Roving Herbmaster could help to heal damage, but I was rather considering Bree-land Protector to conter shadow cards and avoid them in the first place.

Understood, though in that case Dúnedain Warning is worth proxying -- it's just too useful to go without!

Yes, I can definitively feel the need in some scenarios for the extra defense and it's slightly quicker to play than Gift of Foresight.
