I made this deck with the idea of giving the new ALeP contract another use. A deck with a hero that can stop almost everything and another that can destroy enemies with ease. The advantage of this contract is that we have two tactic resources or two spirit resources per turn (which makes it very versatile) and that later it will allow us to search for two cards adding 6 resources that gives a good acceleration to the deck. While those long-awaited resources arrive, we can prepare a hero by doing damage to another, which is not bad.
Beregond can have a defense of 9 (Arwen Undómiel, Gondorian Shield, contract and Inner Strength). The One Ring with Inner Strength gives us a lot of security to start from the beginning defending with 6 and canceling shadows. On the other hand, Glorfindel can attack between 10-19 with ease (Rivendell Blade, War Axe and Fair and Perilous with Strider or Silver Circlet , his bonus when he attacks alone or attacks a unique enemy) To start he attacks with 6 if he does it alone . We add Unexpected Courage (a first for Beregond), Rohan Warhorse or Light of Valinor/Strider
With two heroes, I really like the idea of adding attachment that allow the heroes to quest without exhausting (Light of Valinor and Strider). The first one we draw goes to Glorfindel on most occasions, even if we waste the other four .
To boost the will that at first may be a little low, we put Silvan Refugee in the deck (with Beregond it is safer), Ethir Swordsman, Arwen Undómiel, Silver Circlet and Strider
For card draw we have the option that the contract itself provides us in round 4, Ancient Mathom and Foe-hammer with four weapons.
The threat is relatively controlled thanks to Beregond and Elrond's Counsel + Dwarven Tomb
Healing is provided to us by an Roving Herbmaster who with Beregond is phenomenal.
As we have added A Test of Will, Gandalf or Treebeard in case we need to look for them with the contract in a mission.
It is a very fun deck that can beat many quests. It can be played well alone and if you do it with more players, the combat section solves it very well (attachments could be added to obtain ranged with Glorfindel). I encourage you to try it
I'd remove Rohan Warhorse in favor of more weapons for Foe-hammer or other, non-restricted attachments like Magic Ring or Onward Into Battle. Outmatched is also a very good overlooked option for Beregond that can ensure the 1-threat reduction every round.
