This is intended to be a fairly classic three rings deck, used in concert with a companion tactics deck. It's attachment heavy and most of the allies are meant to be played with Vilya. Almost all the unique cards are singletons, but it's anticipated that you'll be able to get what you need from Gather Information, Word of Command, or Mirror of Galadriel with Silver Harp.

The 2x unique attachments are what you want to see at least one of in the opening hand -- Gandalf's Staff, Light of Valinor, Shadowfax, and Vilya.

This deck is intended to be the questing deck, and you'll need at least two of the heroes questing right from the start, so action advantage is key. It's also intended to be the primary deck for engaging enemies. The other deck has lots of ranged support, and also features Brand son of Bain, to ready someone on this side after an enemy is killed -- in this case not just to contribute to another attack, if needed, but to ready Galadriel for her ability (if she has Nenya), or ready Elrond for Vilya, or ready Gandalf for Word of Command or Narya. Even without another enemy to face, readying Errand-rider, Gildor Inglorion, Master of the Forge and Warden of Healing can be useful.

While the paired deck has Dori, it's likely Gandalf or Elrond will need to help out the defense, possibly bolstered by Dori. Gandalf can get sentinel with Shadowfax, and the other deck has Elven Mail for Elrond, which would make Gandalf or Elrond a valid target for The Day's Rising as well as being able to provide defense across the table if needed. The ideal case has Elrond decked out with Light of Valinor, Elven Mail, Burning Brand, Heir of Mardil, The Day's Rising, and Vilya. He can quest without exhausting, defend without shadow (avoiding taking damage for 4+ attackers with an assist from Dori or Honour Guard), get a resource and ready, help Brand kill the attacker and be readied by Brand, then exhaust again with Vilya to put something cool in play.

If that seems like a ridiculous number of cards to get in play, this deck can mushroom the cards very quickly with the right cards, and there's four cards that search your whole deck for the card you want. Also, as long as you quest successfully, Expert Treasure-hunter is free card draw in a Gandalf deck. If you get Silver Harp down, Mirror of Galadriel becomes a risk-free pick from the top ten cards. If Galdor of the Havens is in play, the Mirror (or Daeron's Runes) gives you another card as well. Master of the Forge can search for attachments every turn, of which there are many.

This deck will ramp up quickly, the danger is at the beginning, with fairly low initial questing (if Nenya isn't in the opening hand) and a high threat.

Elrond's Counsel and Galadriel's own power are the only avenues to keep the high threat from getting even higher, but The Galadhrim's Greeting and Double Back are in the sideboard for quests where more is needed. Steed of Imladris and Northern Tracker are added for location control quests. Miner of the Iron Hills is for condition removal, and direct damage quests will want the extra Warden of Healing to keep everyone healed up. The Wardens themselves may need protected by the Honour Guards in the other deck. Finally, Thror's Map is for quests with punishing travel requirements.
