- Intro -

I have always slightly despised Lord of Morthond's design. While it is very helpful for Outland decks, it does not help Gondor decks at all... Until now.

The Grey Wanderer guarantees Lord of Morthond on the first turn and allows you to buy off-sphere allies. This trick and off-sphere devoted allies combine to commonly trigger Lord of Morthond. Since this is a single hero deck, certain cards are easier to trigger: Rammas Lookout, Rammas Sentry, Strength of Arms, Open the Gates.

- Questing -

Willpower is scarce on the first turn, but Visionary Leadership, Faramir, and Rammas Lookout can provide some serious later questing.

- Combat -

This deck survives off chump blocking for early defense. This also readies Prince Imrahil. Knights of the White Tower provide defense later on. You should not need too much because your threat will be low and you can quest past enemies.

- Engines -

Steward of Gondor and Resourceful provide insane amounts of resources. In addition to Lord of Morthond which has already been discussed, Rod of the Steward and Valiant Sacrifice also provide card draw.

- Other -

Since I have done no play testing, more off-sphere allies (Maybe more Warden of Healing or Gondorian Spearman) can probably be added. There is no threat reduction because one hero decks start so low. The single Warden of Healing provides enough healing for most quests because the Rammas Sentries cancel so much damage.

While Ingold is better for card draw, combining The Grey Wanderer and Lord of Morthond is much more fun.

nice idea. you Forget? the autoinclude playing imrahil with outlands: Prince of Dol Amroth

would take it 3 times is so good specially as grey wanderer and allows Prince Imrahil use outlands with his ability.

would not take Rod of the Steward would instead of put some gandalfs and Sneak Attack in. and if it is still not enoguh carddraw, some Deep Knowledge and or Vassal of the Windlord (with Lord of Morthond they draw a card)

would skip the Knight of the White Tower and reduce Visionary Leadership to 1 wouldconsider 1-2 Armored Destrier.

@doomguard he's not making an outlands deck so why put in Prince of Dol Amroth? A Grey Wanderer-Prince Imrahil Deck would be a great idea, but that's not what he's doing...

Also I would suggest adding in Strider because even if you don't pull it out right away it's still great for a Grey Wanderer deck

ah sorry i misjuded the gondor-allies for the outlands-ones... o.k. i think, as outlands it would be far more efficient ;) (and it would be he way i would play it)

so ignore my post, except u wanna play outlands ;)

(the gandalf-sneak and armored destrider would be good in both ways)

`@BlackArrow Strider would be a great addition. I purposefully excluded it because it is in every Grey Wanderer deck so I wanted to avoid it.

@doomguardSneak Attack and Gandalf would be far more efficient. However, the purpose of this deck is to have fun and only use Gondor allies. That said, Gandalf is still thematic so he could definitely be added. I chose Rod of the Steward simply because I have never used it. In addition, it uses up the extra resources from Resourceful and Steward of Gondor.

i am not really sure, that is better than a Hirluin the Fair grey wanderer, but is a different option with better startstats (for those who... ringsdb.com )
