Momentary this is my favorite Dúnedain deck. I’ve experienced with a lot of combinations (Thurindir, Idraen, Leadership Aragorn and so on) but for me this is the perfect fit for the solo Dúnedain experience. A central proposition for my deckbuilding is to avoid Steward of Gondor in non-Gondor decks.

This deck focuses on engaging enemies to put Dúnedain allies into play with the Heir of Valandil.

This is how the heroes are equipped:

Aragorn gets the Sword that was Broken to boost the willpower of each character. He also gets the Steed of the North so he can quest and also fight.

Amarthiúl is the defender in this deck. It’s important to boost him as soon as possible with the Dúnedain Mark, Hauberk of Mail and the Captain of Gondor. With the Armored Destrier he can defend many enemies in one combat phase.

Gildor Inglorion, the limited starter collection hero, is the new twist that makes this deck working in a lot of games because his card draw ability brings the needed card in many games. He is also a good target for Celebrían's Stone.

This is how it is played:

Like I said, engaging enemies is the key because it triggers a lot of effects, so you need enemies to:

Solutions to handle with lots of enemies: - the equipped Amarthiúl and Armored Destrier

Threat reduction and doomed cards: This deck has only one access to threat-reduction: Lorargorns ability to reset the threat level once in the game. So in the early game I just play my doomed cards (Deep Knowledge and Legacy of Númenor) to build up as soon as possible. That’s no problem because like I said, I want to engage a lot of enemies so at one hand I’m not scared of enemy attacks and on the other hand it’s good that those enemies do not stay at the staging area.

Card draw:

For the card draw I use the Master of the Forge to screen the deck for attachments. Card draw also works about Daeron's Runes, Deep Knowledge, Sarn Ford Sentry and Gildor Inglorion.

Healing:

The classic Warden of Healing is a good way to work with archery damage and to heal Amarthiúl. Sometimes I take an attack undefended on Aragorn, so Ioreth is a good help to stay alive.

Questing:

Early questing is sometimes a little problem but with Aragorn and Gildor Inglorion I start with 5 . But it’s important to get the Sword that was Broken as soon as possible, which boosts the team and make even the Andrath Guardsman and the Dunedain Lookout to a solid quester.

How it feels and good moments:

It is so fun, when I am engaged with one enemy, then I play a Dúnedain Hunter for free (Amarthiúl has the tactics resource icon) play the Sarn Ford Sentry with Heir of Valandil for one resource, draw two cards, play an Andrath Guardsman and cancel one of the both enemies. Today I played the Race across Harad and in one round I handled five enemies at once and killed three of them in the same combat phase. I love it!

Ah cool deck! It looks a bunch of fun to play! I really like when people try to avoid steward of Gondor in nongondor decks^^

Great deck! The only change I would make is to replace 1 copy of Celebrian’s Stone with a third copy of the Sword That Was Broken. Another interesting idea is to use Sam instead of Gildor along with 3x Drinking Song.

@RimogardYou were right with the third copy of the Sword that was Broken. But I replaced one Andrath Guardsman for it.
