Grimbeorn 76

Grimbeorn has a newer deck inspired by this one: Sneaking and Sniping

Overwiew

This deck is a "sneaky" deck when you do not want to engage with enemies but Haldir of Lórien allows you to attack enemies in the staging area. Thanks to him you can lower the in the staging area by killing enemies.

This deck is mostly for solo play but can be for multiplayer too.

Opening Hand

In your opening hand it's good to have :

Other important cards (their are not necessary on the start) :

  • Ghân-buri-Ghân its a really good card in my opinion and you can play it on the second round.

  • Sword-thain that you will preferably use on Súlien because she is the only unique ally from the sphere and will generate resources.

Main Tactic :

In this deck you use (MotK) Robin Smallburrow and Frodo Baggins as questers, lately on Frodo Baggins can be sometimes your defender. Haldir of Lórien as an attacker that will "snipe" enemies in the staging area.

In this deck you need to know what cards will come from the encounter deck, for this you have a bunch of cards :

In this deck you need to damage enemies without engaging them :

In this deck you need a lot of willpower and a little cards that will lower threat in the staging area :

Lastly, in this deck you need to sometimes return an enemy engaged with you to the staging area (when you will raise the engagement cost of each enemy in play with Robin Smallburrow's response) :

It's all, sorry for this long description but it's needed for understanding the deck.

It like Arrows from the Trees with Haldir, that is a nice combination. You are reliant on Song of Battle for multiple cards in this deck and you don’t have card draw. I would strongly consider including Drinking Song to ensure you find Song of Battle early. It doesn’t cost you any resources and gives you an extra card because of your hobbits.

Seems like Daeron's Runes would be pleasant too, since you’ll often have cards that you can easily discard (eg. Extra copies of Song of Battle, Sword Thain, etc.) Also, seems like Gléowine would be an easy card to include.

You could dump altogether and use some combination of Ranger Spear and Glamdring to boost up Haldir. That would free up the three slots from Song of Battle and you could dump Defender of Rammas, too. For an emergency defender, you could go with maybe Háma or Treebeard.

Also, definitely agree with 3x Daeron's Runes and 3x Drinking Song. Take No Notice would also seem to be an auto-include, since Haldir is also a Ranger.

Thank you for all those comments and advice. It's true that i didn't think much about card draw which is not very smart. I will be for sure editing this deck with all those cards that you suggested.
