Based on jban's One deck to engage them all. Main improvement is Knowledge of the Enemy over Tighten Our Belts. Spare Pipe is for the fellowship.

Oct 13, 2021Gandalf is a little win-more in the fellowship: threat reduction is already covered by a different deck, Sarn Ford Sentry usually draws more cards and you usually don't want to damage enemies. Gandalf on the other hand would be a good addition as a 1-off. The main purpose of Sneak Attack is to get more uses of Sarn Ford Sentry so you can draw your deck a second time after using Will of the West. In addition to the Desperate Alliance + Hobbit-sense combo the deck also plays Out of Sight + Good Meal (+Steward of Gondor/Knowledge of the Enemy to make sure you have enough resources). With the card draw from Peace, and Thought, Daeron's Runes, Pippin and Sarn Ford Sentry I have never failed to get either combo by turn two so far. |
Nov 25, 2021Nice to see you make the necessary adaptions on the deck! Once Knowledge of the Enemy came out, I immediately thought to include it in this deck! I think I'd remove other cards for it over Tighten Our Belts and Gandalf. But that's probaly due to taste ;-) Finally I do not think Gandalf is a win-more card in this deck. In the early game, it is crucial to draw into the necessary events and thus having a Sneak Attack + Gandalf to your disposal to draw 3 is very useful. For the later game it's not that relevant anymore and all 3 of his options are used, but for rounds 1-2-3 he is very useful and necessary to get the consistency that I demand of this deck. Have fun with it! |
sneack but no gandalf?
what about a Armored Destrier? the desperate alliance-hobbit-sense-combo is not allways early at hand?
