This is a deck I built around the new Prince Imrahil hero, whose ability I thought was worth exploring. It is essentially a combat phase sneak attack limited to the top 5 cards of your deck. So naturally there are a lot of allies. All allies in the deck except Gandalf and Guthlaf can be brought into play using Imrahil's ability.
This turned out to be a fairly thematic deck that is heavy on Gondor with a splash of Rohan and Silvan, among others.
Beorn in particular works great with Imrahil. You drop him down for the combat phase and trigger his +5 attack or just use him as a wall and he goes right back into the deck with luck for later. Several of the allies have abilities that trigger when they come into play such as Galadhon Archer, Marksman of Lórien and Soldier of Dol Amroth, the latter most which immediately combos with Feint. Reducing it's cost to 0.
Steward of Gondor appropriately goes on Denethor in this deck, who constantly feeds resources to Prince Imrahil. Éowyn is pure quest power + starting threat reduction. Her ability can be used in a clutch moment but isn't the focus of the deck.
Captain of Gondor and Raiment of War both go on Prince Imrahil to make him more of a power-house. Extra copies of Raiment of War should go on allies giving them hero status stat wise. A good target being Déorwine with his excellent ability to boot or Knight of the White Tower or Gimli, etc
Draw power comes from Foe-hammer via Raiment of War, Valiant Sacrifice, and if needed the classic Sneak Attack + Gandalf. I found I didn't really need a lot of draw but it is there for you.
Questing power is a development area for this deck but Gandalf, Knight of the White Tower, Grimbold and Gimli help, and with all the ally spam getting Faramir into play can really change things around in that regard. I will likely continue tweaking this deck but for now pairing it with a strong questing deck is advised.
EDIT: COMPLETELY REKT'D Massing at Osgiliath TRUE Solo it wasn't even funny. We blew through the city, crossed the Auduin (thanks timely ranger!) and breezed into Minas Tirith just in time for cornflakes. And I never drew Steward! There were 23 cards left in the deck by the end of the game. Only 1 guy died. (A Gondorian Spearman)
Ok, after playing some more I made quite of bit of changes. There is such a thing as too many allies.
