kjeld has a newer deck inspired by this one: Lords of Dale

Lords of Dale

Three generations in one deck! I noticed that there are no published decks with this hero lineup on RingsDB, and wanted to put one out there.

Dale-Item Archetype

This is a typical Dale-Item deck with a basic complement of Dale allies and their attachments (the precise mix could be tweaked, see below). As usual, mulligan for King of Dale. If you can't find it, Heed the Dream can help. From there, load up Bard the Younger with attachments

Ranged Fun

What is not typical is the inclusion of Bard the Elder shenanigans, courtesy of the old standbys Great Yew Bow and Hands Upon the Bow, which have been given new life by the Grey Cloak. Have a Second Breakfast if you need to bring one back after you've used it. With both bows equipped, Bard the Elder will one-shot any enemy with max 2 defense and max 4 hit points. If this isn't enough, consider bringing in Orcrist or Glamdring from the sideboard. There's also the unthematic option of DĂșnedain Warning.

Customizing

In terms of allies and attachments, the optimal mix will vary by quest and play style. Many could be subbed in/out for others. For example, Knight of Dale or Rhovanion Outrider could find a place, as could Raiment of War or more Ancestral Armor. I kept the cost curve on the low side to help with card draw via Brand's ability, but there are other ways to play a Dale deck. If you want even more card draw, Spare Hood and Cloak or (unthematically) We Are Not Idle always can help thin the deck.

How does Heed the Dream get played?

Ah, oops! Those are left over from the base deck I built this on, which used Beravor. They should be replaced with some card draw or search power, possibly a Gather Information or even good old Gandalf + Sneak Attack. The other option is to sub in more Spare Hood and Cloak or We Are Not Idle to just thin the deck.

I'll have to revise and re-post the deck.

I use Beravor as well because Dale cannot get enough draw. Otherwise, the deck looks great!
