FEAR THE DUNEDAIN! Marty Edition. Goal here is turn Marty and Aragorn into absolute monsters.
Mulligan for Wingfoot or Master of the Forge so you can start to dig for those key attachments and quickly build your board state. Wingfoot goes on Beravor and use her ability every chance you can. You also have Heed the Dream and Gather Information to help get those attachments out.
Marty by the end should be a monster. He gets
- Both Armored Destrier
- Steward of Gondor
- Gondorian Fire/Blood of Númenor
- Golden Belt
- Tireless Thoroughbred
Aragorn is no slouch either he gets:
- Steed of the North
- Orcrist
- Thorongil (either Leadership or Lore if you are in Threat trouble)
- The other pair of Gondorian Fire/Blood of Númenor
We have some Dunedain classics to help get and keep enemies engaged including Entangling Nets and Wait no Longer. Feel free to swap Forest Snare for any big enemy quests. Sword-thain should ideally go on Henamarth Riversong or Firyal, especially if you do swap in Forest Snare.
Allies are here mainly to boost questing, scry, and find those attachments. Thalionion can become a hero, but he’s mainly here for fun. If you get Timely Aid, Firyal is your ideal target. Note, Gandalf should be used almost exclusively for threat reduction.
Speaking on, there is a lot of threat reduction here to try and keep you threating out. Aside from Gandalf, you have Secret Vigil, Favor of the Valar, and Double Back. You can also, Thorongil Lore Aragorn in to add another. Lastly, you have a little treachery control with A Test of Will.
By the end, ideally, you have Tireless Thoroughbred on Marty with all the fixin’s and then, in combination with Hour of Wrath, he can proceed to absolutely wipe the table clean.
Hope you enjoy and open to any feedback or ideas.
Amarthiúl is Marty, right?
