Alliance of the Forrest

This deck is my attempt to bring together the Tree People and the trees that are a kind of people, too. It is probably not the most powerful alliance, but I like the idea and I have to admit that I feel incredible soothed when I play this deck full of lovely green cards!

The Last Alliance is mainly used for:

And of course the discount from The Last Alliance, that can be used almost every round, helps to build your board faster. Another nice form of cost reduction that works very well in this deck is the brand new Seasoned Forager.

Heroes

Rossiel can be either build into a quester, if you put locations to the victory display. Or you use her as a capable defender with Ent Draught, A Burning Brand, enemies in the victory display and Cloak of Lórien. Another nice new card is Box of Earth, that can increase the defence of Cloak of Lórien consistent and acts also as a little bit of location control.

The purpose of Mirlonde is to be a beautifully green Silvan (and to reduce your inital threat level as a nice side effect...).

Treebeard acts either as attacker (up to 8 !) or as defender. In any case he gets an Ent Draught and is the best target for Lembas, Daughter of the Nimrodel and Wellinghall Preserver.

Events and Attachments

With Mithrandir's Advice, Entmoot, The Tree People and Galadhrim Minstrel card draw should be sufficient in most games. Keen as Lances could be used, too, but it should be used mainly for reducing your threat, as it is the only threat reduction in this deck.

Out of the Wild and Scout Ahead can be used to remove nasty encounter cards and reduce the cost of Keen as Lances. Depending on the quest, maybe some Leave No Trace, None Return and/or Weep No More! can be added from the side board.

If needed some more location control could be added from the sideboard (Asfaloth and The Evening Star). If the quest has some nasty conditions Athelas helps with Daughter of the Nimrodel or Galadhrim Healer.

Allies

For the allies there are not that many options for lore allies that are Ents or Silvan, but most of them are quite useful. Woodland Sentry is nice to get rid of nasty enemies or locations with a copy in the victory display. Wellinghall Preserver and Silvan Tracker deliver constant healing. Henamarth Riversong is useful for some scrying and he, Galadhrim Minstrel or Wandering Ent are my preferred targets for The Tree People. Always try to use the ally with the trait, that has less characters in play to use The Last Alliance to replay that ally for 0 or 1 ressource.

interesting idea. would add 1 Sword-thain a lore-hero more does not only generate 1 res more it inrease Mithrandir's Advice and reduce the cost of Scroll of Isildur

then in this case either discounted or with The Tree People put into play the Defender of the Naith is worth it.

another idea, i would think about 2-3 offspheresilvans theay can bu used with The Tree People or if you put in Elf-stone even if they come to your hand, they are playable.

would discard Out of the Wild its to expensive without secrecy and then The Door is Closed! is not needed. yes i know, then no bonus for rossiel, but i think it is so or so unlikely to get much of her ability. (without massive discard)

@doomguard: Thanks for your helpful suggestions! Sword-thain is a very good option, but to me it seems a little bit thematical out of place in this deck. The Elf-stone would be nice, especially for solo play.

The Door is Closed! and Out of the Wild have been very helpful in some games and I really like those two cards. But of course they could be replaced by some off-sphere silvans as you suggest. I only wanted to keep the deck as green as possible, so it is more of an emotional than a rational decision of mine ;-)
