AndreDuval 9

AndreDuval has a newer deck inspired by this one: 35 a Round

Thanks to @Seastan for the original deck idea. Actually this is a multiplayer deck, because the lack of willpower in the middle and end game.

Main Strategy

The deck strategy is based on the combo of Glóin, Song of Healing, Song of Travel and Elven-light: briefly, for every damage Glóin will take, you can discard Elven-light to heal the damage and use the resource that Gloin gained to draw back Elven-light and another card from your deck. As soon as you receive damage from undefended attack that do not kill istantly Glóin, you can activate this combo. To improve the efficiency of this combo Mighty Warrior and Vigilant Guard can be used to activate Treebeard 5 times every phase, that means 35 times a round. Obviously, gaining 35 cards e no resources is no a great strategy. There are 2 things you can do to improve the number of resources you gain each round:

  1. discard another card instead of elven-light to heal Glóin
  2. use The One Ring and Well Preserved to heal all damages taken during the previous round (at cost of 1 point of threat)

The second option means you can gain a number of resources equal to Glóin hit points minus 1 each round (instead of cards). By the way, Glóin can reach 22 hit points: 4 base, +1 Well Preserved, +2 Vigilant Guard, +1 Boots from Erebor, +2 Ent Draught, +12 Citadel Plate (x3, thanks to Golden Belt).

Other Cards

To get the 3 cards needed to start drawing, I added Daeron's Runes, Drinking Song and Heed the Dream. Thanks to (MotK) Nori, you can recycle at will your deck: Nori will attack every enemies engaged with players (Hour of Wrath and Dúnedain Cache), using is +9 attack (2 base, +4 Dwarven Axe x2, +3 Khazâd! Khazâd!) and bringing back from discard pile to your deck 1 card for each enemy destroyed. If you need more attack power, use Miruvor to ready Treebeard and attack with him (9 Nori + 7 Treebeard = 16 attack should be enough to kill anyone).

To have all the combos working, you need resources from all 4 spheres on Glóin: is needed for Elven-light, cancellation and recursion cards, for Hour of Wrath and Khazâd! Khazâd!, for Warden of Healing. Song of Battle and Narvi's Belt should be enough to reach you target.

Not enough? When you have enough cards in your hand your can use A Test of Will and Hasty Stroke to cancel one card each turn "when revealed:" and 2 shadow cards (the first with Hasty Stroke, then draw it back with Dwarven Tomb and play it again). You can cancel more cards with Map of Earnil and use Reforged to bring back the Map.

The Galadhrim's Greeting will reduce your threat by 6 every round, so no problem on using The One Ring every round.

Sideboard

A couple of words about sideboard. If you prefer engage every enemies in play instead to leave them engaged with other players, you can use The Hammer-stroke instead of Dúnedain Cache. Some quest will punish you if you finish your deck: it could be tricky, but I menaged it using Will of the West.
