• best allies for contract are Barliman Butterbur or Gléowine because you might use contract for secrecy-allies or gandalf
• use The Shirefolk and Smoke Rings as soon you have 2+ pipes. Drinking Song helps to get more of the pipes and these events.
• Spare Pipe and Fast Hitch are (nearly) free on Folco Boffin and Merry thx to Nob
• put Bree Pony and Boots from Erebor and Half-pint on nob, then he can take undefended attacks
• pay the secrecy-allies and get full cost back with contract
• get cost of Gandalf back using contract
• use Old Toby with 4+ pipes
• when more fightingpower is needed, use Thorongil on Merry make him Merry
• Out of Sight helps if to many enemys engage you
