Premise
With most of my Silvan decks leaning into the doomed package and/or Steward of Gondor heavily, I wanted to have an alternative that is a bit less built around these staples and therefore (potentially) a bit more convenient for multiplayer settings or just to change up a little bit the cards you play a lot. I also decided to include Lothíriel to further shake things up - and while excluding Galadriel obviously hurts, Lothíriel has her own value, especially in conjuncture with Elf-friend and The Elvenking who allow you to ambush Silvans very cheaply while keeping them in hand to do the same thing next round.
How To Play
Seeing Elf-friend early on is absolutely key here. It unlocks Lothíriel's ability in a big way. I therefore mulligan for it aggressively. Aside from that, you usually just play what is in front of you, considering carefully what fits your current situation. A card I consider especially crucial (probably the most important card of the whole Silvan archetype) is Galadhrim Minstrel. The repeatable tutoring it provides is just amazing and a key component to any Silvan deck.
Considerations
Greenwood Archer is not that useful for you since the heroes you could ready with it are not that insanely useful, however I like to include it if there are heroes across the table that would profit more from it. Steward of Gondor, Legacy of Númenor and The Seeing-stone would all make the deck better of course - at that point however, you might as well just play the combo versions and be done with it. Double Back is a card I like to add in higher player counts especially.
One card I would like to call out in particular is Elrond - who I like in solo as a cheeky 1x, but who I usually bump up in higher player counts.
Enjoy!!!

May 28, 2024Arwen and Glorfindel (along with their toys, so Elven Light and Light of Valinor/Asfaloth respectively) will both be very good here without a significant drop in power. If you want to be more thematic, Sp Legolas alongside LoV and Elven Light would also be fine (but a bigger step down in power). Cards to remove if you want to cut Lothiriel are Elf Friend and Envoy |
May 30, 2024would include 1 Legolas just for the chance to get him with The Tree People if u accidentially draw him you can send him back with Lothíriel would furthermore increase Feigned Voices to 3 then because archery is there add 1-2 Silvan Tracker or Ioreth the expensive tracker might be drawn by The Tree People would reduce Host of Galadhrim by 1 is expensive and as soon you are able to play the 1. one the game will be won, so i think, its winmore. for the remaining 2 i would reduce 1-2 We Are Not Idle (yes u might think they reduce your deck effectively but specially with Galadhrim Minstrel and The Tree People it is not a simply reducing the deck it also reduce density of important cards that can be fished out of the deck) and/or 1 Envoy of Pelargir or Woodland Courier one is none, imo either take 3 to finish a location or leave them out Silvan Tracker are much better) |
Trying to find alternative ideas (non-Galadriel as that just seems to steam roller everything) for decks with silvan engine + unlikely friendship/bifur and maybe things like heir for resource gen, don’t have Loth so was wondering if any thoughts on other spirit heroes that could be interesting to experiment with? Hoping to operate at equivalent to your 3.5-4 star ratings.
