Idea
The basic idea is that you quest with 6 heroes, 4 through Bond of Friendship, Thalion as the 5th through side quests and the 6th one with Sword-thain.
This deck is very strong and can do basically everything, both solo and with other players.
Core Cards
Cards that I always look for in my start hand are Light of Valinor (for questing), Beorn's Welcome (initially for card draw on Gildor Inglorion and later for Grimbeorn the Old's effect) and Thalion.
Unexpected Courage, Dúnedain Warning, Legacy Blade, Ranger Summons and The Day's Rising are also always welcome.
Side quests are also always good.
Playing
With Thurindir's Setup Action you get your first quest, I almost always choose Gather Information, but you can choose whichever you want.
Generally you use Grimbeorn the Old for defending and dealing some damage, Glorfindel as your main attacker, Thurindir for questing and Gildor Inglorion for card draw and also for questing.
The deck provides a high amount of Willpower and is very good at supporting other players in multiplayer, with Grimbeorn the Old often ending up as the main defender in our games with Unexpected Courage, Armored Destrier and all the armor attachments, and Glorfindel with Rivendell Bow doing his best (Legacy Blade providing a lot of damage).
For your 6th hero the choice is open to you, I generally pick one of the leadership allies since that is the most expensive sphere in the deck. Though in some games we also had Ghân-buri-Ghân or another players ally end up as the 6th hero. You can also get interesting interactions with Ceorl who you can give to other players.
Managing your threat level is very important, you can get a lot of use out of Angbor the Fearless if you save your Elrond's Counsel or Gandalf until you are in the 40s, but be careful with enemies and treachery cards.
Customization
I highly recommend tailoring the deck to your situation, e.g. swapping Lembas with Athelas if you have an encounter deck with conditional attachments.
On that note, Lembas is very useful on Grimbeorn the Old in many situations, so feel free to add more or get some from other players.
The other attachments in the Sideboard are all things that can be useful in the Main Deck, depending on the situation. If you don't need Willpower, remove Light of Valinor and add a Mithril Shirt instead, I often swap around Round Shield and Captain of Gondor, the Golden Belt is also very situational, so feel free to experiment.
Pay attention to which unique allies your partners have in their decks and make adjustments accordingly, lest you end up with tons of ressources and cards you can't play.
