Premise

The Dúnedain deck I had the most success with. It is geared towards enemy management and does very little questing, however it can also support other decks quite well with your Doomed cards while providing a complete threat reset with Aragorn+Desperate Alliance. Having lots of Sentinel characters as well as Fornost Bowman allows you to handle combat across the board as well, however you always prefer having enemies engaged with you of course.

How To Play

You normally want to be the first player in the first round since that allows you to engage the maximum number of enemies possible. In my opening hand, I usually look for readying attachments as well as Legacy of Númenor/The Seeing-stone. You usually want your Unexpected Courages and your first Armored Destrier on Beregond, as well as your defense-boosting attachments. Silver Lamp is very helpful to defend safely, the Bowmen are useful to ensure that you are not overrun by enemies (having 4-5 engaged with you is usually enough). Heed the Dream is very much an insurance card I find useful if you do not get your Sarn Ford Sentry/Sneak Attack combo running early on or are in need of Desperate Alliance.

Considerations

In a 3/4-player-game, adding your last copy of Desperate Alliance is something I very often do. If nobody else is running Steward of Gondor, it is of course also very helpful but even if I include it, I hardly ever play it on myself since there is quite a bit of resource acceleration available to you between Legacy, Magic Ring, Heir of Valandil and Amarthiúl. Northern Tracker can be subbed in of course to help with questing, however in most cases I prefer to specialize in enemy management and leave the questing side of things to the other players. Horns! Horns! Horns! can further add consistency, Beravor and Double Back are cards I enjoy in place of Aragorn if you play the sage quests he is unavailable for.

Enjoy!!!
