Trunk & Disorderly: Quick Tactical Guide
Overview
Trunk & Disorderly is a slow-starting, high-impact Ent deck. It's built around Lore/Tactics heroes Treebeard, Quickbeam, and Beravor. Survive early threats, then dominate mid-to-late game using a heavy Ent lineup backed by tactical support and healing.
Quick Tactical Tips
- Mulligan for: Entmoot, Wingfoot, Beravor, or early questing support.
- Haldir of Lórien shines in multiplayer or staging-area-heavy quests.
- Coordinate Feint, Forest Snare, and Infighting to neutralize enemies until Ents are ready.
- Use Beravor for card draw early, and Wingfoot to transition her into action advantage later.
- Let your Ents take their time — by turn 4+, you’ll be rolling over enemies and locations alike.
Single-Player Strategy
Early game (slow start):
- Prioritize Entmoot, Daeron’s Runes, or Wingfoot.
- Use Quickbeam's self-damage for early action economy.
- Treebeard handles big attacks or pushes quests when needed.
- Forest Snare delays dangerous enemies until you stabilize.
Mid-to-late game (power spike):
- Stack Ents: Beechbone, Skinbark, Derndingle Warrior.
- Use Wingfoot + Beravor for double actions and draw.
- Heal Ents with Lembas, Healing Herbs, and Lore of Imladris.
- Infighting redistributes damage for finishing off tough enemies.
Multiplayer Role
- Excels as a combat control deck.
- Absorbs early aggro with high-HP heroes and defenders like Derndingle Warrior.
- Haldir of Lórien adds ranged staging control or covers vulnerable teammates.
- Beravor supports table-wide draw if your hand is solid.
- Healing and threat control spread across the table with Lore of Imladris and Woodmen’s Clearing.
Key Synergies
- Entmoot: Speeds up Ent deployment.
- Wingfoot + Beravor: Generates free card draw or defense.
- Wellinghall Preserver + Ent Damage: Keeps Treebeard and Quickbeam healing passively.
- Infighting: Converts damage into a precise kill tool.
- Forest Snare: Stalls major enemies, combos with Infighting.
Managing Threat-Heavy Openings
- Expecting Mischief and Feint reduce early damage.
- Strider’s Path helps skip locked locations.
- Woodmen’s Clearing triggers after exploration for threat relief.
- Focus on surviving turn 1–2; once Ents arrive, you control the board.
Sideboard Substitutions
Use these based on scenario demands or table needs:
Heavy Combat Quests
→ Sub in Defender of Rammas or extra Derndingle Warrior for more blocking
→ Consider Beorn for burst combat power
Staging Area Enemies
→ Add Descendant of Thorondor or Forest Patrol to clear them pre-engagement
→ Use Expecting Mischief x3 if you expect low-HP enemies
Slow Quests or Multiplayer
→ Add extra Wellinghall Preserver or Ghan-buri-Ghan for pacing and longevity
→ Beravor becomes a team draw engine with Wingfoot
Off-Sphere Cards
→ Watch resource balance when using Gandalf or Descendant of Thorondor
Version Corrections
This version fixes a core rules conflict: the original list used Quickbeam (Ally) while also including Quickbeam (Hero), which is illegal by deckbuilding rules.
Haldir of Lórien was added as a ranged attacker to fill the role, offering more multiplayer synergy and long-term value.
Additional flexible allies like Defender of Rammas, Descendant of Thorondor, and Ghan-buri-Ghan were moved to the sideboard for tactical use based on quest demands.
