Introduction
I like this other way to defend in Forth, The Three Hunters! contract : Arwen Undómiel defends early game the small attacks, then Háma indirectly defends by recycling and discard-drawing Quick Strike and Feint. So does this deck !
Potential attachments
-
Háma : The One Ring, Strength and Courage, Dagger of Westernesse, War Axe, Rohan Warhorse, Magic Ring, Snowmane, Warrior Sword
-
Arwen Undómiel : Round Shield, Windfola and / or Silver Circlet, Shining Shield, Light of Valinor, Silver Harp
-
Gildor Inglorion : Celebrían's Stone, Valiant Sword and / or Dagger of Westernesse, Steed of Imladris, Rivendell Blade, Round Shield, Light of Valinor (Unexpected Courage if it's attached on Arwen already)
Mechanisms
It's a very effective deck, except against scenarios with strong ennemies immune to players cards effects. I win > 75% of my games in true solo against scenarios like Deadmen's Dike.
Unlike Mormegil I did not include Steward of Gondor in the deck (it was attached to Arwen), because the curve cost is low enough to skip that. During A-side contract, most of your attachments will have real 0-cost. Since B-side, Gildor resource help your drawing, Arwen's one your drawing (with Elven-light) or A Test of Will, and Hama's one your tactics events.
Sometimes I like to invite Gildor Inglorion in the attack, either to help Hama or to attack one more ennemy if Hama + Rohan Warhorse is not enough. So Rivendell Blade is welcome.
Will of the West is both a security against some nasty discarding scenarios and a way to re-using the events (and 's ones) even more, which serves well the Hama-theme.
I included three cards as safeguard or flexibility options (feel free to adjust the number of copies to your playing style) :
1) Open the Armory is nice here :
-
when you do not have drawn all the restreints you need to flip to B-side of the contract yet and want a more effectiveness use of Gildor Inglorion's resource / drawing ability
-
when you have flipped to B-side already but need especially some weapon or armor
2) A Good Harvest to help paying tactics events, in conjunction with Magic Ring
3) Silver Harp that synergizes with Steed of Imladris and Háma's ability
Global Adjustments
If the scenario is side-quest-friendly you can put Rally the West, Gather Information or Keep Watch in your deck.
