cardiner 2
Noble Alliance
Wanted to build something strong for Ringmaker Cycle, general idea was I needed something that deals with card wealth punish, that can withstand tough enemies and effectively clear locations. So I came up with this interesting combination of Nobles doing Sarumans dirty work
Main idea behind choosing this Heroes were to have very well rounded stats that provide good support for allies and card draw. So for Prince Imrahil is the star here, he is the one that gets allies on the board for fighting, Celeborn is for giving extra stats for some of the Silvan allies that come in, Círdan the Shipwright is basically to mitigate card draw and allow to get better cards for situation
This deck have two flaws in general, from which none proved to be a flaw in this cycle, and they are card draw and healing, as there are a lot of cards that punish cards in hand and there isn't any super heavy hitting enemies in this cycle, apart from maybe Mugash, and even if there would be I almost never defended (apart from maybe first or second turn) with Heros, so as this is ally deck they mostly defended
Main way to play this deck is get Steward of Gondor and Narya and Light of Valinor on Círdan the Shipwright and you got everything necessary to deal with everything coming your way
list is pretty much built with sharing traits with Prince Imrahil and sharing Silvan trait, there probably are more good , but I used the ones I had available, but anything that has Silvan and trait same as Prince Imrahil will do
Heros
He is basically here to support Silvan, he has very nicely balanced stats as well so he excels at everything, attached Rivendell Blade and than Unexpected Courage for effective questing and attacking
Again very well rounded stats, and this is questing power house, his main ability allows him to draw extra card and choose which to keep, which mitigates bad card draw if you don't get Elven-light early discarded. I attach all of the attachments on him except Rivendell Blade.
He is the bread and butter of this deck and the reason I had this deck in mind, if there ever was a enemy in staging area I pretty much always used him, and his stats are well rounded as well which meant I could use him for other things as well
Attachments
Adds plus 2 , what else is there to say
I think self explanitory work very well with Narya allowing to use allies even further
Makes allies like Honour Guard and Knight of the White Tower even better and basically they can deal with anything now allowing them to defend and attack
There is probably better options or maybe just other options, but I liked it as even if I dont get enough damage through to kill this allows me to chip a bit extra maybe allowing Galadhon Archer to finish enemies
This is super valuable card in this cycle specially as it allows to remove cards from hand and deals with location, which if I may add feels like it was added in the wrong cycle, as this felt very location heavy cycle, together with one or two Lórien Guide most locations were cleared before quest resolution even happened
Resource generation, and definitely goes on Círdan the Shipwright as this deck is quite and heavy
Very strong here on any of the Heroes as all of them have very balances stats, might be swapped out for more allies or other events as this deck can do without it
Events
Most of the are swappable regarding situation, most of the side board is optional and mostly suggestions, you can come up with your own events, even tho I swapped only few times and with very minor adjustments, deck can handle most on its own, few uses cases are
Card draw -> Elven-light or Valiant Sacrifice, both are good Elven light because of Círdan the Shipwright and Steed of Imladris and Valiant Sacrifice because of constant ally entering and leaving because of Sneak Attack and Prince Imrahil and even Gandalf
control -> The Galadhrim's Greeting or Elrond's Counsel, I take Eldrond Counsil if I need more
Enemies and Encounters - > A Test of Will and Hasty Stroke, this deck cant live without them, and hardly any deck can, Feint if you get overwhelmed if you can finish early without defend
-> Sneak Attack and Beorn or Gandalf
Getting more on board -> Stand and Fight, this is good because not always you will have Narya and you might need Knight of the White Tower or Faramir) or Honour Guard from discard
Some optional you might want to swap from time to time
If too much condition -> Power of Orthanc
If a cards in hands punish -> Dwarven Tomb to get some necessary cards like Stand and Fight or A Test of Will or Hasty Stroke for the situation
If need more -> Quick Strike, can use to attack twice or even 3 times with Beorn if you use Narya and Ever Vigilant
If need more resource -> Captain's Wisdom
If long quest -> Will of the West, I would consider this for long quests like Catch an Orc where half of the deck is not available all the time
If need more card draw -> add another copy of Valiant Sacrifice or Elven-light
If need more threat management -> add anotehr The Galadhrim's Greeting or Elrond's Counsel
Allies
With it is similar I used mostly what i have in the main deck,
-> Beorn and Gandalf and Galadhon Archer and Marksman of Lórien specially if they enter play through Prince Imrahil, I had quests where Galadhon Archer deal in total 5 plus damage over the quests duration
Questing -> Glorfindel and Faramir, and Glorfindel is quite usefull here as you can play him from discard which synergies quite well with Círdan the Shipwright and Steed of Imladris
Location progress -> Lórien Guide
DMG mitigation -> Honour Guard very useful card in this deck as there is no healing and this in some quests can be lifesavers
Defense -> Knight of the White Tower and Guardian of Rivendell even stronger and more usefull when Narya is in play. Guardian of Rivendell is very good in this cycle because of cards in hand punish
Flexibility -> Gandalf good on its own, super good with Sneak Attack
but I would consider some swaps for some heavy quests that punish in one area
If cant deal with the constant damage though conditions or some passive effects or shadow effects or Treacheries -> Elrond or Warden of Healing, but as they are not in sphere they become harder to access, or just add anotehr copy of Honour Guard
if need more -> add another copy of Guardian of Rivendell or Knight of the White Tower
If need more -> Glorfindel and Faramir
If hard locations -> Snowbourn Scout or Northern Tracker
Summary
In general i created this for Ringmaker cycle altho I don't see why this could not perform in other content
This defeated all of the quests with one try on normal, would love to see how does it perform with Nightmare, but do not have Nightmare stuff available to me
I do see possibly better and stronger deck with Boromir instead of Celeborn adding Visionary Leadership and using more Gondor as this would be more consistent, but that is discussion for another day, same could be said for Dáin Ironfoot and dwarf archetype, as a lot of them are warriors and nobles as well and could be even more consistent because no need for Visionary Leadership :P

Mar 15, 2023Also another mention regarding Faramir which I skipped, if you have Narya or Ever Vigilant you can trigger his ability twice or even 3 times, also he can be quite good with Sneak Attack during questing with this and even with Prince Imrahil |
One mention, it is important to mulligan if you dont get a single set up card for Círdan the Shipwright, best cards at the start Steward of Gondor and Light of Valinor
