For those lucky bastards like me who got subscribed in their LGS and already received The Crossing of Poros replace: Lore of Imladris for The Dam Bursts:

"Cost: 2 -

Play only if you control a unique character with the Ent trait and another unique character with the Hobbit trait.

Action: Ready each damaged Ent character you control."

This is an early rough draft that needs testing and polishing.

There are some main ideas to explore in this deck,

Treebeard first turn

With the help of Gríma the ally version of Treebeard can be played in the first turn. This means that second turn we have 4 "Heroes" capable of paying our Allies costs.

Gríma + Keys of Orthanc Resource Ramp

The second idea is the resource ramp this combo provides (ence the name of the deck).

A first turn Keys of Orthanc played on Elrond provides the resource boost and covers all the requirements to play our Ents.

Sword-thain Resource Ramp and Shenanigans

Another ramp engine that helps paying the costs of Allies. With 8 Unique Allies that can be a target for Sword-thain is only a matter of choice and how fast you want another "Hero" on board.

The shenanigans are simple:

  1. play on a Ent to provide more resources if needed (if Treebeard isn't on the board yet or a Keys of Orthanc hasn't been played yet)

  2. play on a Ent if the resources are covered.

And point 2. is pure profit.

It will make Scroll of Isildur a free card and provide a major boost in Mithrandir's Advice.

Card Pool

The deck is pretty self-explanatory. Create a resource engine, explore it to play Ents. It can pay 2 Allies per turn with Gríma discount and another "Hero" on board.

Folco Boffin is there to provide the trigger for The Dam Bursts and also to low the if really in need for it. Once the board is set with Treebeard and Sword-thain'ed Ally the engine will not miss the ol' Boffin.

One copy of Vilya more to provide the resource required for The Galadhrim's Greeting as a control than to exploit its ability. But, when the board is set its ability is neat to be played as a "spin the RNG slot".

Card draw is covered by Mithrandir's Advice, Entmoot and Daeron's Runes that can trade dupes in hand for other cards. Mithrandir's Advice can be then played again by Scroll of Isildur, the best target for the Scroll, and if the Thained Ally is then it's pure profit.

Sideboard

Sideboard is not a sideboard per se but more of a test-pool.

Elf-stone is another engine that can cut the costs of Allies but I only see Treebeard as an advantage (or any Ent). Since the deck has engines to pay the costs in early game I don't see the need to include this card in the deck.

Gildor Inglorion is the go-to in a Vilya engine. But since this deck is not Vilya centered I don't see a need for him unless I would cut a copy of another card for a copy of him.

Ioreth and Henamarth Riversong are the fast targets for Sword-thain and are there if I really need to build a fast Thained engine. Those cards are better in a mono- strategy but can also be played here.

Heed the Dream is a contester for the Daeron's Runes spot. A different card but with the amount of Unique cards in the deck I like the Runes better.

I was able to play 4 different quests with this deck and got good results! Thanks for posting it. Very fun hero combo. Grima is a beast,

I've replied to @The BGamerJoe excellent analysis and I'm considering making a few changes (not previously contemplated in the Sideboard section):

-1 or even -2 The Dam Bursts

I see this card as a late game card to finish big Enemies. It's not a card that I really feel the need to play early game (besides finishing a pesky Hill Troll turn 2/3) so maybe cutting it to 1 copy is not that steep. It's a card that can also be recycled by Scroll of Isildur so...

Cutting down some Ents

This is the most tricky part... I like my Ents and the ones too. Leaflock is a great questing ally and Quickbeam has so many plays in this deck and a major target for an early Sword-thain. Beechbone is a self-inflicting damage which pairs with other raging Ents and Skinbark is sheer power with its 4 ... tough choices...

More Hobbits

Sometimes Folco Boffin will not be in play to march the Ents for the Dam... in this case,

+1 Robin Smallburrow

Besides fulfilling the task of being an Hobbit he can also carry the Sword and provides 2 with a low resource cost.

Healing for Heroes

The first couple of turns may force me to defend with my Heroes or pile damage on them. So a Healer might come handy, but which one?

+1 Warden of Healing may be the best option in the book, but...

+1 Imladris Caregiver might be a better option. When the Entmoots and Advices start to flow the playing hand goes bananas and even with the Runes filtering the copies of already played cards the Caregiver could make a solid work with those cards and be free to make other tasks. Also, the 2 avoids some Treacheries that could kill the Warden.

and last,

+1 Gandalf, mostly because the reduction is a bit steep in the deck. Or even trade the package of Vilya and The Galadhrim's Greeting for 3x Gandalf since I can pretty much pay for one per turn when the engines are set.

Opinions please.
