LaTigre 8
This is a Fellowship Deck, very fun to play with a lineup of Hobbit Hero to benefit from their low threat, and beign sneaky to Timely Aid for help (Update V2.0 changelog at the bottom)
There are a lot of cool tricks and Frodo Baggins is a great card to help keep out threat low, and pull out some combo with Faramir (commit Faramir to Quest/ready him up and wait for the steaging step to use or not his Action ability), Gildor Inglorion, or to ready up Merry.
Turn 1:
Mulligan for a Peace, and Thought and Tighten Our Belts, quest with all hero for a total of 6 , if needed you are covered by The Ruling Ring, in the refresh phase play Daeron's Runes and try to find Tighten Our Belts, then exaust Folco and Merry to play Peace, and Thought, now we have a ton of card in hands and we are looking for Timely Aid, use Drinking Song to refresh you hand and start to pull out some big ally. A Very Good Tale is great to ramp up the board quickly
Turn 2:
Now all depend on the board state, we can Fast Hitch on Merry to have a good attacker, play out Resourceful (the first one on Frodo Baggins to fuel up his Response Ability and start to keep Threat down), hard cast a big ally with A Good Harvest, play a cheap Pippin or one of the 2-cost Lore ally
Turn 3 and on:
Time to set up Elf-stone (but only if you can clear the location) to bring in another big ally. Make good use of Drinking Song to get what you need. Merry is a good fighter and can ready up Legolas to draw multiple time, do not forget that Merry can be used to ready an attacking ally and help play A Very Good Tale
Note:
The One Ring drawback is not a problem for a low Threat Deck and give you a bonus card in hand that can help a lot in setup or is very good with Drinking Song to sant back that card into your deck to get a +1 draw power
The Ruling Ring can be swapped out for another Master card, depend on the Quest you are facing
Gaffer Gamgee can make the contract to be flippe over sometime, but is not big of a deal, if he leave play, maybe it's time for a bigger Ally next round!
Folco Boffin If you need an extra big Ally in play, when you are ok, discard it, lower your threat and make a room for that big ally for the final push
Gildor Inglorion can be used to swap a big ally from our hand that we cannot afford to pay for a Timely Aid or Drinking Song
Update V2.0
-
+3 A Very Good Tale, super good to not include this, can ramp up the board quickly
-
+1 Gléowine, another cheap Draw can be useful
-
-1 Fast Hitch, due to the removal of the Attachment, this card is no longer a priority, good to have on Merry but less crucial than before
-
-2 Rivendell Blade, since this is an Ally deck, i removed the Attachment and made the Deck more consistent to bring big ally to the table
-
-1 Orcrist
Conclusion:
It is a very fun Deck to play, sometime it can be inconsistent, and is super Luck-Driven so it is not a Power deck to smash all the Quest, but have good vibes and it deserve a try! Also can be very powerfull when all goes right and you can Flip the Contract by turn 3 or 4.
