Pirate Brahm 1062
To bear a ring of power is to be alone.
$0.25 description: A Grey Wanderer secrecy deck blended with some ally recursion.
Lady G (not Gaga, but the OG Lady G) is an ideal candidate for The Grey Wanderer contract if you give her Nenya. First off, you start the game with what is effectively a dual-sphere hero that can dabble with a third sphere each turn. Next, you use her ability in conjunction with the contract to negate its threat raise while still drawing that extra card and netting two resources during the planning phase. Finally, you're still ready to use Nenya during the quest phase to take advantage of that willpower throttle so you don't over/under quest.
If you've checked out Some Sort's deck, you will be familiar with the strategy to use The One Ring in conjuction with Well Preserved and Ring of Barahir to raise her health to the point that you can soak unblocked attacks every turn.
Yas Queen! (Forgive me, I am so deeply unhip).
If you want to skip the setup rule nonsense like I do, Nenya is your contract attachment and Well Preserved is your Mastercard (there are some things resources can't buy).
For the most part, you'll start the game playing this like a secrecy deck with cheap allies (Celduin Traveler, Ithilien Lookout), hopefully finding some big ones with Timely Aid, all while you mirror-search for a collection of Resourcefuls to pay for late game allies.
Some of the tricksy fun I've had with this deck involves the recursion aspects. Beorning Skin-changer brings out Beorn and Giant Bears, then Stand and Fight brings back the Beorning Skin-changers, then Galadhrim Weavers shuffle Stand and Fight back into the deck. A bear in the discard pile is as good as one in hand, so don't fuss if you have to toss a Beorning out with Daeron's Runes or lose one to Mirror of Galadriel.
Sideboard: Power of Orthanc, because Galadriel got caught in a web on my very first (and very short) playtest. I also addedThe Ruling Ring and Risk Some Light if you'd like a little more control over the encounter deck.
