BEAUTIFUL AND TERRIBLE AS THE MORNING AND THE NIGHT!

"'And I shall not be dark, but beautiful and terrible as the Morning and the Night! Fair as the Sea and the Sun and the Snow upon the Mountain! Dreadful as the Storm and the Lightning! Stronger than the foundations of the earth. All shall love me and despair!'"

--Galadriel, LotR II, p.473

DECK OVERVIEW

I've often thought that the Spirit sphere was the best-suited for a solo mono-sphere deck; contrary to popular & learned opinion, which says Leadership is the way to go. Generally speaking, Leadership probably is the better mono-sphere choice, as a mono-Spirit deck needs to be fairly specific to compensate for that sphere's lack of combat ability and resource acceleration. That's what I've tried to do with this Elven Secrecy deck. Fair and Perilous gives Noldor/Silvan characters some teeth, and Secrecy enables Resourceful.

PLAYING THE DECK

Mulligan for Elven-light; Resourceful & Light of Valinor are nice, too. Use threat reduction to stay below secrecy level and quest with all three heroes. If engaged, avoid combat with Out of Sight unless Against the Shadow is available for defense. Attack enemies with Fair and Perilous, even while you are Out of Sight. Note that Against the Shadow & Fair and Perilous can also affect allies and that the hero boosts from Star Brooch, Miruvor & Elrond's Counsel can benefit both events.

Glorfindel gets Light of Valinor & Star Brooch. He is also the primary defender/attacker, defending at 4 with Against the Shadow or attacking at 7 with Fair and Perilous. Miruvor can ready him for an additional action and further boost his stats. Arwen Undómiel also gets a Star Brooch and generates 1 resource each turn by discarding an Elven-light. She can also serve as a back-up defender/attacker at 4 /5 in the same fashion as Glorfindel. Merry gets Unexpected Courage so he can ready after questing to use his threat-reduction effect. All three heroes can gain resources with Resourceful or recycle key events with Map of Earnil.
