Poète du troglo has a newer deck inspired by this one: For the gourmets only

A deck built around the hobbits and threat management. Sam is the MotK. Attach The One Ring, Inner Strength and Unexpected Courage to Fatty Bolger ; Elf-friend, Light of Valinor to Merry ; Unexpected Courage, Mithril Shirt and Hobbit Pipe to (MotK) Sam Gamgee. Nice synergy between Bolger, Sam and Merry's abilities. Prince Imrahil is there if one of the Hobbits (Sam and Merry are pretty vulnerables) would be eliminated.

wouldmoptimize a little bit:

2 cardcombo (Elf-friend + light) is not worth it, would take a 3. Unexpected Courage, or make more of it and add 2-3 Mirkwood Long-knife and max Elrond's Counsel out.

would add Bilbo Baggins and 1-2 more Hobbit Pipe

Elevenses is a good thing to reduce thread and trigger the Hobbit Pipe

with monohobbit, its worth Hobbit-sense

would replace the Knight of Belfalas with Erebor Guard to support mining and sentinel is great in multiplayer

with Inner Strength from the start i think Hasty Stroke is no longer needed

would think about Reforged and if, then perhaps Fast Hitch but that reduces effectivity of Emery

would put in at least 1 Spare Pipe for Fatty Bolger and perhaps Smoke and Think or Smoke Rings (the last also triggers Hobbit Pipe )

would think about Thorongil it gives Merry the abilities of Merry and therfore +3 attack (or put it on (MotK) Sam Gamgee to give kim additional the baility of Sam Gamgee
