This is the best Outland deck I have ever built, and now I post how it works. The basic idea is putting in play the Outlands in the fastest way. The fastest way to draw Outlands is Erestor: the first turn you have about 2-3 Outlands in your hand and you draw meanly one Outland every turn.

Arwen Undómiel gives you the forth resource every turn, so you have four resorces to play three cards, drawn by Erestor; if the cards cost meanly one or two resorces, you can play all the three cards every turn, that's impressive!

Without Arwen Undómiel you have only three resorces to play four cards, this means wasting a lot of cards every turn.

Expert Treasure-hunter, Daeron's Runes and A Very Good Tale help you to find the Outlands fastly.

Zigil Miner gives you no less than 1 resource every turn, thanks to Gandalf. Hidden Cache can be played by A Very Good Tale or by Zigil Miner or Expert Treasure-hunter.

In the deck there are also some useful Gandalf's tools: Wizard Pipe, Gandalf's Staff, Expert Treasure-hunter and eventually Shadowfax.

Will of the West is very important because your deck ends quickly, keep in mind that you could discard Will of the West because of A Very Good Tale. So be careful to play A Very Good Tale if you have two copies of Will of the West in the discard pile.

These are the main cards, the others cards are simply strong cards without any particular idea: Unexpected Courage, Warden of Healing... feel free to replace them, if you want.

The main drawback of this deck is that it could be weak the first and the second turn if you are not able to play a lot of Outlands.

If you want to improve this deck, keep in mind that:

1) it is very difficult to play cards with casting cost of 4 and impossible to play casting cost of 5 or more.

2) blue cards like A Test of Will, Hasty Stroke are unuseful because of Erestor.

3) you can change Gandalf with a Leadership-Hero like Hirluin the Fair or Théodred or Denethor.

Try it and enjoy!

As this deck was published two years ago, I do wonder whether this deck is still a "modern" deck.

Anyhow, the only way to trigger Hidden Cache is A Very Good Tale, that seems to be a quite low percentage to trigger. To be a more generic deck, I'd remove the one copy of Miner of the Iron Hills, too.

I want to try this deck, but a starting threat of 33 seems high. Double Back, Woodmen's Clearing and maybe Galadriel's Handmaiden as well as Secret Vigil might be a solution.

Also, the addition of A Burning Brand suprung to my mind.

Dunno what to drop, though. Maybe Wizard Pipe(s) and a copy of Stand and Fight, probably Word of Command, too.

Just noticed that Zigil Miner also triggers Hidden Cache...
