This deck is meant to support a Tactics deck featuring Aragorn, Théoden and Dori, and its job is to pump out the attachments to buff the heroes (especially Theoden) on the other side). There are very few allies, and it's anticipated that it will do very little defending and almost no attacking. The other deck will engage enemies first, defend across the table with sentinel, and pull enemies that do engage across the table after Aragorn kills them.

The most important cards give action advantage to the superheroes on the other side. But it's also great to take advantage of secrecy. The cards I like to see in my opening hand are Resourceful, Snowmane, and Wingfoot. Wingfoot will ready Aragorn when you need him (if you're enemy free), and Snowmane will ready if you quest successfully.

Aragorn is also the intended target for Sword that was Broken, while Dori is the target for King Under the Mountain. Theoden is the target for Herugrim, Heir of Mardil, The Day's Rising, Steward of Gondor, and Unexpected Courage. Celebrían's Stone would work will with Herugrim, but takes a restricted spot and is probably better on another regular quester.

A couple of the attachments are for hobbits. The first Fast Hitch should go on Merry, so he can quest and also lower threat. Ditto with Hobbit Pony. In an enemy-heavy quest, once you don't need Merry to quest (or give him a fast hitch), the hobbits should be able to stay in secrecy most of the time. Resourceful goes on whoever needs it most for what's in your hand or left in your deck.

Aside from the usual staples, there's two event cards in the deck worthy of note. Out of the Wild is a cheap way to get something nasty out for 1 resource, if you are in secrecy. And if you are in secrecy you can play Courage Awakened repeatedly for 1 spirit resource -- obviously you'll need resourceful to pull that off.

The sideboard is straightforward -- Miner of the Iron Hills for conditions, Northern Tracker for locations, extra Warden of Healing for damage, Thror's Map for obnoxious travel requirements, The Galadhrim's Greeting and Double Back for threat.
