Éowyn:

Notes:

  • Most of the time, Strider will be the first pick for our Wander Woman.
    • In scenarios like Peril in Pelargir, with early engaged enemies, the Golden Shield will be a better option, though.
    • If we can get these two attachments in the early-game, Éowyn will quest for 6 without exhausting, then defend for 7 , and then (with the contract or her own ability) be ready to attack as well.
  • The War Axe should be the 3rd restricted item attached to her.
  • The 2nd Spear can go to Boromir or maybe Guthlaf.
    • Guthlaf is probably the least useful ally, but also the cheapest (along with Pippin).
  • Card draw is the major weakness of this deck, use Gandalf's response and Open the Armory to thin your deck and find a weapon as much as you can.
    • Bofur and Legolas abilities are also useful on this regard.
    • Once you have the Spear (or the Axe) on Éowyn, Foe-hammer will do the work.
    • We want every draw to be valuable, dead cards are not an option here... and that's the main reason for avoiding any duplicates other than Gandalf.
  • Wait no Longer is probably the best advantage we can get on questing phase. Use it wisely and don't pay attention to its name. :-D

Improvements:

  • Legolas is a great card to see, since his ability is a game changer for this deck.
    • If I had to include 3 copies of an ally, he would be the chosen one.
  • Born Aloft could be a useful alternative for "healing" allies.

Disclaimer:

I know I could include some off-sphere cards, since the contract allows us to do so, but that's not what I've been looking for here.

Having an all-red deck with only unique allies was my main idea behind the scenes... sort of a sequel to the green deck I have made some time ago.
