Deck in Progress

Trying to break Prince Imrahil abillity.

I tryed him when he came out. His abillity is something I'd like to break since I've seen his spoiler.

I've started with Háma in a mono- deck with a lock engine. But now Háma doesn't lock no more so I'm trying to exploit a different direction.

I dislike the Elf-Way, that is using Elf-friend and a bunch of Silvan and Noldor allies.

I also don't look at the Outland Way, using Prince of Dol Amroth and Outland characters that are pretty cheap by their own.

The best ally to use the Prince abillity is, of course, our lovely-bear-lover Beorn. He well and better.

There are other options too... I had to play at least 20 targets in the deck so it wouldn't fizzle.

But Heroes first, I tested some builds and even a 2-head build with Gandalf and the Prince. And that's my starting point. Even with Strider on the Prince and Shadowfax on Gandalf I felt short on resources and to Quest. Sure I was triggering the Strider bonus because my board lacks numbers but resource-wise I had to go for Resourceful and still didn't managed enough tempo to play it and used it well. Steward of Gondor was also a strategy to pull through Gandalf's abillity but... it was still slow.

Enter the Glóin.

I wanted to exploit Glóin for a bit but never came out with a deck that could use his advantage, mainly because he's and within there are sweet resource cards like Steward of Gondor and A Very Good Tale.

So I had an eureka moment when I looked at my 2-head Prince deck and try to squeeze the bearded Dwarf in. And yup, eureka indeed.

Right now I'm using 15 attachments with 4 highlanders (1 copy each). Just check the list and you'll get it. I have 2 copies of Citadel Plate because I want to see that card as soon as possible and also Self Preservation that can stack and does a great job. The other multi-copy attachments are tools for Gandalf and Wizard Pipe is really really needed in the deck, it's the only way to dump our drawn Beorn into the deck again.

With Gandalf's abillity I can use Daeron's Runes as card advantage (straight from the top of deck so it gives us +1 card) and Parting Gifts as a go-for-resources card allowing the trade between Glóin stash and other Hero. The other stuff is also self-explanatory: management, management, discard recycler.

Allies

24 Allies = 19 targets for the Prince (17 since Galadriel is sub-optimal target but still a target).

Elrond and Imladris Stargazer are the ones we want to play by ourselves with the help of Gandalf's abillity. One is there to cure or remove shenanigans and the other to filter the draws.

Galadriel and Errand-rider are our jokers since they can be fetched as a chump-block with the Prince or can be played from hand with the lots of cash piled in Glóin.

Also, with the amount of attachments and the limitation of plays due to Gandalf's restriction, Galadriel gives a huge bump in our board and provides her great .

The majority of the allies is . They can be played from hand too after a well timed Parting Gifts or multiple uses of Errand-rider.

Legolas and Marksman of Lórien are pure attack, Boromir is multitask , Beorn is just awesome.

Knight of the White Tower is the latest addition to the deck. He can do everything, can be fetched and his condition is irrelevant for the rich Dwarf.

Sideboard

I left some options in the sideboard for you to see my line of thought for this deck. I've tried some, traded other but maintained all the cards I worked with for this version.

Final Thoughts

Well, I'm still testing. Played it against Journey at 2-1 (2 wins 1 loss). Played it against Mumakil 2-0. And those are the games I tested this exact list. I've made other games which I lost with other cards, and others I won but always a bit stretched.

ends in the 40's but never near 50.

if not risky is close to 0 loss. All the heal cards and Self Preservation make a solid work.

is not much required. Glóin can receive a punch once equiped but even in need Prince Imrahil can fetch us a guy to defend. Beorn is our best defender along with Knight of the White Tower and Boromir.

is bananas! Beorn, baby!! But also Marksman of Lórien with the effective 5 and Boromir and Legolas to provide a beat. Legolas is also good for card draw.

is constant 7 that can go for 10 with our Ñoldor one-timers.

I did have troubles with location-clog since the is a bit short. In that case Knight of the White Tower is useful to quest with. And I'm thinking on throwing a single Faramir in the deck (he's not in the sideboard because I didn't tested him yet) to help boost on all those 0'd allies.

Resource-wise the deck is a machine when dealing against enemies. Against Mumakil I had 2 conditions dealing 1pt damage each per turn on Glóin with Self Preservation was like having a Steward of Gondor! But against no-so-lethal quests I thing the aid of the Steward can be a good thought.

So... what does this deck needs more and what it does not need?!

EDIT 1

-1 Marksman of Lórien

-2 Lore of Imladris

+1 Self Preservation

+1 Faramir

+1 Galadriel

So, after a few more spins in the Dwarrowdelf questland I found some things working better than others.

Self Preservation is a must for this deck so 3 copies are needed.

Also, as I've mentioned before is a bit short. Enter Faramir to provide a boost for those 0 characters or even a boost for the three Heroes, +3 is better than 2. Also, a third Galadriel was added, she helps alot in the set of those attachments and also provides a good boost in one turn.

The Lore of Imladris was removed because Elrond is better even for the +1 cost and even without the Phase trigger on Gandalf but also because 3 Self Preservation are more than enough to deal against damage. And the Marksman of Lórien had to be cut because it's not that relevant.
